High Levels of Inaccuracy (22.3%) - Refund Request :(
I bought this tool yesterday while researching a bulk verification tool to help me remove spam registrations from my WordPress site with 50,000+ registrations. I decided to give it a try because the next best option was going to be around $250 for a one-time verification.
The initial results were a bit dubious so I rechecked the whole list again with ZeroBounce, costing me 2.5x more, but the results are vastly different:
ZeroBounce validation revealed that Reoon's "Safe" validation in fact contains 6% or 2,208 unsafe emails (1,878 abuse, 264 invalid, 31 do not mail, 14 catch-all, 1 spam trap, 20 unknown)
ZeroBounce validation of the "Risky" segment was even worse, in fact containing 16.4% (2,372) SAFE emails.
If I had relied on Reoons results without crosschecking, I would have deleted the accounts of over 2000 of my members and allowed over 2000 bad accounts and emails to remain on my sender list harming my deliverability.
I am disappointed in the discrepancy here and will be requesting my first ever refund from AppSumo for the tool :(
I am giving it an extra taco because I also tried integrating their real-time validator on WordPress and it performs ok in my tests, however there is zero control over what passes validation and no way to tell if it also inherits the accuracy of it's parent tool.

Feb 26, 2025Thanks for sharing your thoughts. However, we cannot understand why you are considering the other email verifier as 100% accurate and making the review solely based on that without any proper checks. Maybe our results are more accurate than theirs! But did you test that yourself or contact our support? Just because our results don't fully match with theirs doesn't make them more accurate (or vice-versa).
The goal of our service is to provide accurate results in terms of real-world usage, matching the results with another email verifier is/will never be our goal. We believe that the review of mismatched results should be done with proper tests (should not be made based on assumptions).
Please share some of the emails that you think our email verifier didn't identify correctly and we will thoroughly test them if the identifications are correct or not. You can also contact our support at support@reoon.com.
We will be waiting for your response. Thanks.
