Too many unknown results and false positives

I decided to try Reoon Email Verifier after reading so many amazing reviews and seeing their claims of 99% accuracy. Unfortunately, my experience was quite different. After running multiple tests, I got a lot of “unknown” results and even some false positives that led to a higher bounce rate — something that can really harm your sending reputation.

Their website mentions that they can accurately verify even difficult addresses like Outlook, Hotmail, and Yahoo, but that wasn’t the case for me. Many of these came back as “valid” but later bounced.

The interface is nice and the pricing is fair, but accuracy is the most important factor for an email verifier — and in my case, Reoon just didn’t perform as promised. I’ve since switched to EmailVerify.io, and so far, I haven’t experienced any bounces or unknown results.

Of course, it might depend from person to person and on the types of emails being verified — but that was my experience, which unfortunately wasn’t great at all.

We appreciate your feedback. However, please note that that if an email bounces or not in your end depends on many factors, including email server configuration, sending server IP, sending rate, SPF configuration, bad/many links in email content, too generic spam-like content and many other things. If any of them have issues, the email service provider can reject your email and you will get a bounce from that valid/safe email. Just because someone has a list of valid email addresses does not mean that person can start sending a ton of emails to that list.

We have not received any support request from you. We kindly request you to contact us at support@reoon.com and provide the list of emails that bounced on your end. We will check them manually and will provide you the necessary details.

Also, you mentioned the status of these emails was "valid" (not "safe"). Probably you were using the quick mode for the email verification via API. In such case, please understand that the purpose of the "quick" mode is not to verify the individual status of an email address. It is designed to do quick checks of emails at website registration fields. As individual inbox status is not checked in quick mode, if the domain, syntax and few other things are good, the result will be "valid". In order to get the individual inbox status, you must use the "power" mode.

Please provide more details about the issue in our support emails so that we can solve your issue as soon as possible. We will be waiting for your response. Have a great day.
