Great Product, But the Paywall Completely Ruins the Experience

I really wanted to love this product because the core functionality is genuinely useful, and when it works, it works well. Unfortunately, one design decision completely ruins the experience for me.

The biggest issue is how comment limits are enforced.

My plan includes 1,050 comments per month (Highest Tier on Appsumo). I completely understand and accept that every incoming comment counts as one credit. I have no problem with that at all.

The problem is what happens after those 1,050 comments have been fetched.

Instead of allowing me to continue managing and replying to those 1,050 comments that I already paid for, the platform immediately locks me behind a full-screen paywall and blocks access to the entire dashboard until I upgrade.

This makes absolutely no sense.

If I've already paid for those 1,050 comments, I should be able to reply to every single one of them—even if I prefer replying manually instead of using automation. New comments beyond my plan can simply remain disabled or hidden until the next billing cycle or until I upgrade.

Instead, the current implementation effectively says:

"You've reached your incoming comment limit, so now you can't even manage the comments you've already paid for."

I contacted support about this twice.

The response I received was essentially:

"That's not how it works."
"When you reach your limit, you don't have access to our platform."
"You can upgrade from the billing section."

That answer was very disappointing because it completely ignored the actual usability problem.

As a software engineer myself, this feels like an overly simplistic implementation—almost as if the application just checks whether the comment count has reached the monthly limit and then immediately displays a paywall that blocks everything. A much better user experience would be to:

Allow users full access to all comments already counted within their monthly quota.
Disable or hide only the comments that exceed the plan limit.
Let users finish replying to the comments they've already paid for.

I even explained that this pricing model makes me hesitant to upgrade. If I buy a larger plan with 10,000 comments, what's stopping the exact same thing from happening? I could reach 10,000 comments and still be prevented from replying to the very comments included in my subscription unless I pay even more.

To their credit, support acknowledged my feedback weeks ago and said they would add it to their list for future consideration. However, nothing has changed, and the product still behaves the same way.

The frustrating part is that the rest of the platform is actually very good. It's fast, useful, and the core functionality works well. That's why this limitation is even more disappointing—it feels like an unnecessary product decision rather than a technical limitation.

Until users are allowed to fully manage and reply to the comments that are already included in their paid monthly quota, I can't recommend paying for higher tiers. I hope the team reconsiders this design because fixing it would significantly improve the user experience.
