Q: 1)Any plans to be able to upload resumes from dcouments or PDF's?

I think this would make this better deal. Not everyone is on linked in, and really my profile there is not related to a job I would put in for.
2)If we load a resume to Linked in, will it pull from that resume, or is it only pulling from other sections of Linked In?
3)Can we copy and past items from a doc or pdf and paste them into the resume?
4)Can we customize these resumes, add things not on Linked IN?

Thanks.

A: Hello!

1. We do want to build an 'Upload Resume' feature where the user can upload their PDF or DOC resume and it would automatically be converted to a well-formatted & stylish resume on Resumonk.

But, as you would understand, this upload functionality is a non-trivial technical problem. We need to accurately parse any resume uploaded to Resumonk and then extract the right information from it. The resume can be in any kind of layout & format, and could also be in a language other than English.

We are still exploring a good technical solution that will work for majority of cases.

2. Resumonk imports the information from the zip file exported by LinkedIn. This zip file only has information present in the LinkedIn sections. We don't get the uploaded resume in it, and even if we get it, till the time we have the generic parser available as mentioned above we won't be able to read this uploaded resume.

3. Yes, you can copy & paste information in to the Resumonk editor.

4. Yes, you can customize the resume by adding/renaming sections and updating any information that you've imported from LinkedIn. You can add any number of custom sections to your resume.

Thanks.
