Q: I purchased a lifetime subscription some 4 years ago and quickly dropped Resumonk.
Why? Because it didn't receive any further development since and I encountered many bugs when exporting templates to Word. Also, documents created by Resumonk never imported properly into ATS. Some templates were added, but that's it. I, for one, find Rezi much more intuitive and developing to customers' needs. Your mileage may vary.
There's one feature though that I use with Resumonk: Endorsements on LinkedIn. I quickly import all of them and create a separate document with Resumonk to attach to my resume.

Iâm sorry you had a disappointing experience with Resumonk. It is under active development and weâll try to speed it up more at our end.
I'll try to address your other points here.
Unfortunately, the DOCX format has lots of limitations when it comes to updating those templates programmatically. An exact 1:1 mapping with HTML & PDF versions is not possible. The color, font, spacing & page layout settings are applied only to the PDF and not to the DOCX format.
There is no uniform standard followed by all the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) when it comes to parsing a resume and extracting relevant text out of it. A resume might be parsed perfectly by one software and the same document might not work with another one. In fact, differences exist between different versions of the same software.
Since the âlist of ATS softwareâ is huge, itâs practically impossible to say this particular template or resume will get parsed by 'all' of them correctly.
Our recommendation is to ideally apply for a job through a referral so that the resume reaches the hiring manager directly. That gives the candidate the best chance and a standout resume/cover letter really helps there. This can't be done for all job applications, but the candidate should strive to do it as much as possible.
Having said that, you can choose to test your Resumonk resume on a service like Jobscan (no affiliation with us) to assess how it gets read by ATS software. I believe their software is able to parse our resumes well.
Glad you like the LinkedIn import feature. We are continually working on improving the product and hope you'll find Resumonk more useful in future. :-)
