I don't dread making or updating my Resume anymore (or waste much time on it)
Creating and updating resumes has proven to be one of the significant time sink activities in my career - one that I find quite unenjoyable, and in fact, dread. In my search for the tool to make my "perfect" resume, I have played with Libre Office, Word, Google Docs, various online resume creation tools and even Latex (which can do a pretty good job - but takes way longer than anything else, and has a steep learning curve).
The frustration that I have felt when the pdf output doesn't quite match the wysiwyg source material has often driven me up the wall.
Having tried so many Resume layouts and spending countless iterations perfecting the design, I realized that creating a good resume is a non-trivial design problem. And we are not all good designers. Even for good designers, creating a good design takes time and effort.
I tried Resumonk after a friend suggested it, and now I wish that I had purchased it much earlier. Resumonk takes the design & layout part of resume creation process out of your concern, and solves it really well (it has a library of 20+ templates to choose from). It is a serious time saver and creates excellent looking resumes. Creating just one resume has saved me enough time and headache to offset its cost (which is quite reasonable anyway). I don't dread making or updating Resumes anymore.

May 9, 2024Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Much appreciated! :-)
Yes, our idea with Resumonk is to allow the users to focus more on content rather than get tied up with the formatting related issues.
Not many people like creating resumes, but once you start looking at the nice output with a clean & professional look, it makes the process a whole lot easier (& less painful than usual).
Cheers.
