👋 Hey everyone.

Back on AppSumo with a second LTD after much success with the first one last year (Botsheets).

Let me tell you a story....

My dad is 89. Last summer he asked me for help choosing a new printer. I went to Amazon and sent him a few links to printers that were reasonably priced from major brands and with high ratings and lots of reviews.

He thanked me for the links, then asked me "Which one?"

I didn't have time to research, so I copy and pasted into ChatGPT and asked it for an opinion. I started thinking about all the mom bloggers that want to create gift guides, and food influencers that want to share their favorite cooking tools but didn't have time to research and write up some guides.

What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

Early in my career, I mastered SEO and ran a print-on-demand business that outranked large public companies like VistaPrint in Google. That led to my first exit. I re-invested proceeds into a mobile app studio, but got out of that business in 2016 when I discovered I could build AI chatbots faster and cheaper than mobile apps. I didn't just jump on the AI bandwagon when ChatGPT launched. I saw a glimpse of the future back then and here we are now. The technology has evolved over the years, and so have the possibilities. Roundups really excites me. It's different than other AI writer products because it's focused on delivering value. I also like how it can scale.

We're a team of 4 product devs that can do everything.

There are so many ways we can scale Roundups. Do we focus on product Roundups, or broaden focus to other Roundups like talent Roundups? Do we focus on blog Roundups, or dive into video Roundups? We want the market to tell us what matters to them, and use the proceeds from the campaign to invest in product development aligned with consensus on plans and goals.

Q: imports

On tier 1 just to give it a try

so I'm allowed ten rounds per month np but only 10 imports but 3 are needed for comparison so really i can only do 3.5 roundups per month using my imported comparisons?

A: Tier 1 has far more limitations than Tier 2, and Tier 3.
The import feature in general is one of those limitations. You can use our direct sources which come with 1000's of products, but you can only import a few on Tier 1. We'll probably be back with this LTD for a last call that would allow you to upgrade if importing is important to you.

I wouldn't worry about copyright on products you're importing. You're a lead generator for companies selling product. No one would ever sue you for that.

Q: Including Google Analytics tracking script

One of my biggest struggles is trying to improve or promote something without being able to track it. Are there plans that would allow us to add our own Google Analytics tracking to these Roundups or even have something built in natively? Just getting some basic impressions and clicks data would do wonders to know what is working.

A: I like the idea of letting you add your own GA tracking in the absence of native analytics. The reason being that while we ultimately plan to add analytics and definitely agree with you on the value for that, analytics tend to fall at the bottom of the stack. The top of the stack is all about creation flow, output, editing, and publishing. Once we've got that all fine tuned, then the priority shifts to the other stuff like layering in analytics, more community features, more data sources, etc.. Short answer, let me see about adding in your own GA, but I think ultimately we'd like to see native analytics.

Q: Are these live?

These were mentioned in February as going live before the LTD ends. I can’t figure out how/where to use them in the app -

3. More Control Over Content Output

We'll show you the content areas that AI wants to focus on before it writes up a Roundup, but you get to decide what it writes about without requiring prompt engineering skills.

4. Optimized Output By Platform

Comparison tables are cool, but Medium doesn't support tables. You'll be able to tell us before we generate a Roundup if it should be optimized for WordPress, Ghost, Medium, Email Newsletters, etc.. We'll maximize your time with output optimized for your target audience.

A: It's actively in development. We originally planned to run this LTD campaign until the end of April, but we had so many new user activations and so many feature requests that we didn't want to let it all pile up. Instead we ended the LTD a little earlier to get heads down and focus on the things we want to build. Short answer is that this is all coming soon and we have fewer distractions now to focus on it.

Q: Product imports

Hi,

What's the point of having the ability to create 50 roundups per month on Tier 2 if we can only important 50 TOTAL product per month too? So 1 product per roundup? Doesn't seem very helpful, as almost all product roundups online have a minimum of 5, often 10 products. Making the real number of roundups per month 5-10, not 50. Am I missing something?

A: Because we already provide direct integrations to product catalogs that give access to several thousand products and that has no limits on any tier, but if you want to import your own products beyond the 1000's that we provide you with, that's a premium feature. Also, some people only create Roundups with 2 or 3 products, and some generate a single product review. It's also 50 per month, so you can import 600 products a year which should be a reasonable amount for Tier 2, compared to the 6,000 products you can import a year on Tier 3.

Stop Wasting Hours On Affiliate Product Research

You’re busy.

You don’t have time to sift through endless details. You need a tool that saves you precious hours.

A very good and Fast App that brings immediate ROI

I don’t often write reviews, but in this case, I feel it’s well-deserved. I purchased Roundup because I see its potential, even though I’m not an affiliate marketer.

The user interface is clean, and the user experience is smooth. The new import feature from standard pages is a game changer, and this innovation encouraged me to maximize my investment in the app.

There are a few areas that need refinement, but even at this stage, it delivers immediate results and creates actionable content that can be used right away to generate ROI.

Solid Value With Lots of Potential

With any technology leveraging AI, I try to identify what they are doing that I couldn't easily do myself. The side-by-side comparisons are great at both the content and visual level. My number one frustration is once I have created a roundup, that I can't edit it to remove one of the three products for example and replace it with another one. I also wish there was more control over the end comparisons. In some cases, the side-by-side comparison at the very bottom is all I would want. Bottom line, a lot of potential, fast and easy to create a promotional page for affiliate use, and plenty of value for the risk of riding this lifetime plan.

Thanks for the review! We have plans to do more with comparison tables like you mention, as well as being able to replace products. Keep in mind though that if you generate a Roundup and then replace a product, or add another, it's going to re-write the whole Roundup to do the comparison again.

very usefull with and without wordpress

For Wordpress you may have alreqady some plugings for comparison tables, offerings and product reviews but here you can use roundup also outside wordpress. Integration of Appsume is also very gentle . And I like the easy of use . Roadmap seems to complete some needed gaps. Recommend it
