Q: So YOU are hosting the Images?
Hi,
in a question and your answer below you state that you are hosting the images.
I am super-confused about that.
Isn't it against Amazon's TOS to host images?
as simple perplexity search came back with the following for me:
No, you cannot host Amazon affiliate product images on your own server to comply with the Amazon Associates program. Amazon does not permit affiliates to download images from their store and upload them to their affiliate websites5. This practice is prohibited and can be considered copyright infringement, potentially leading to suspension from the Amazon Associate program.
Instead, Amazon requires affiliates to use their Product Advertising API or other approved methods to display product images.
Display images by linking directly to Amazon's image server, not by hosting them on your own server.
Please clarify.

Jan 28, 2025A: Hi,
We don't host or modify in-article images of Amazon products unless you add them manually via the editor. You can see, for e.g., here (https://roundups.ai/pub/3-canvas-prints-to-transform-your-space-this-winter-800bbf) that there are direct Amazon image links in a format like "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61oo1Gyn8kL._SL1500_.jpg," which are link formats provided via the PA API.
What Kirill said regarding image hosting is correct. Sorry for the confusion. We're in compliance with all programs and privacy laws.
