roduct unusable despite IP whitelisting and weeks of waiting
I purchased Screpy on September 27, 2025 via AppSumo.
Since day one, I have been unable to create any project — every attempt immediately returns a “Server Error”.
The support team asked me to check their server IPs, which I confirmed have been whitelisted. Despite this, the exact same issue persists.
➡️ Screpy remains completely unusable.
➡️ After several weeks and multiple follow-ups, I still haven’t received any fix, workaround, or even a clear ETA from the technical team.
At this point, the tool is not functional and I feel misled. Very disappointing experience.

Not for e-commerce nor CDN images
I liked the concept, so I did a scan, and it consumed my 10,000 credits in minutes. However, I was getting very good information, so I purchased Tier 3 (20,000 additional credits) and reran the scan, which depleted all my credits. I don't think it finished the scan - short on credits.
Digging into the results with support, we found out that:
- Each page with the Gravatar logo counts for one link and one image
- We have one logo, but it counts for 2,500 images and one link to the CDN per page
- Each product image (some products have 10) counts for one link (CDN) and one image per size (full image, thumbnail...) - in my case, 4,600 links for CDN images it scanned and a total of over 20,000 images!!!
- Each "add-to-cart" and "add-to-wishlist" counts multiple links, aka /add-to-cart?=randomnumber - the last run counted close to 5,000 of these links, and the run didn't finish as I ran out of credits.
- Each speed test costs 100 credits
- Each question to the AI costs 10 credits
Support was terrific and fast, but nothing they could do but recommend after the fact to skip images; still, I would be way over the 30,000 credits, as it still counts all CDN images as links.
For a regular small blog, it would be a terrific tool with tons of information, e-commerce... big no no.

bad
Not a word from Screepy about Google disabling the num=100 parameter. Other rank tracking tools informed their users about this. Furthermore, there’s no option to spend more credits to still retrieve Top 20, 50, or Top 100 rankings. For me, that makes Screepy unusable.

Too slow to be an agile tool
The tool is good, but it still lacks some functionalities. Unfortunately, the server is extremely slow — 250% slower than expected. Every time you click to switch a function, a spinner appears on the screen.
Also it's annoying, that's impossible to put in competitors manually (or I don't find the function) and there're advertising links inside main-navigation (backlinks).

Jul 24, 2025Thank you for your feedback. The slowdown you experienced may be due to temporary server load fluctuations. This is not a persistent issue, and our team is continuously working on performance improvements.
Regarding the “Backlink” links in the main navigation, these are not advertisements but links to our own separate tool. It's not included in the Screpy plan, which might have caused some...
