Q: Looks like a great product!
Are files client-side encrypted? Thanks!

May 15, 2024A: Hi jneuk,
Thanks for your questions!
1. Yes – replies are encrypted. You will need to use the app to prove your identity when reading replies. (or simply read the reply in the app)
2. We had that feature originally, however, it was disabled because in order to be listed as a standard Exchange 365 or Gmail add-in we are not allowed to intercept the “send” command. We are able to do this for enterprise installations where the company administrator manually adds our app with extended privileges. Also, we are in contact with a company that does NLP on email content to identify personal identifiable information and recommend when things should be encrypted.
3. Sealit is not meant to replace the main mail service. The idea is that we do not want to force people away from where they normally work (typically exchange or gmail). Users should continue working as they do, but have the added security feature directly in their inbox. Also not that when you send a Sealit email – it actually goes out of your email provider (i.e. your clients will receive an email from you – not Sealit).
4. That's great to hear that you want to set everyone up. Can you please email me at sasha.s@sealit.id - since you have a lot of users, we would be happy to offer you a private demo / training session to show you how to get setup correctly for 500 and get the most out of the software.
5. With our desktop encryption tool you can keep files always encrypted even client side.
Again – thanks for your questions & glad you enjoy the product!

Oops, hit submit too soon. Is there a way to purchase for more than 100 users? I'd love to offer this to our entire organization (over 500 potential users). Thanks!

And about received emails...
1.) If someone replies to my sent sealit email, is their reply to me encrypted, requiring me to use the app to access their reply?
2.) Is it possible to filter certain contacts or make all received emails encrypted by default, requiring me to use the sealit app to access them? This would be an incredible feature if sealit could essentially secure my entire gmail inbox in this way!
Thanks again!
