Thanks for stopping by! The core product we offer is the theme itself (or themes). If you're already using another theme, you can theoretically switch to another theme just on a number of pages (there's a plugin for that) but that's not recommended.
With that said, you can probably still use some of the plugins we ship together with our themes, but we typically recommend to switch over to one of the themes.
We're actually actively working on integrations with two membership plugins - MemberPress and Memberful. It should be ready in a future theme update (we aim for mid-February)
We already support WooCommerce and we'll be also testing the integration with WooCommerce Subscriptions and WooCommerce Membership. After that, Restrict Content Pro would be addressed.
These above solutions are the most popular membership/subscription plugins in the WordPress eco-system. We'll check WishList and see if there's enough demand for an integration.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Sure, Anchor works great with our themes and plugins and you can definitely host all of your audio content with them and still enjoy all the great features available in our products.
Q: Do subdomains each count as a separate website?
for example podcast.ccc.com and podcast2.ccc.com would that count as one or 2 sites? I am looking at a directory and then some individual pages on a couple of sites. I think one code will do it but I want to make sure. Thanks!
Thanks for reaching out! You can use the themes on multiple sub-domains, but if you activate the license on each one of them, it would count against the 5 licenses limit. If you don't activate the licenses on all sites, it would still work, but you will not have access to automatic updates in the dashboard.
Thanks for reaching out! It's really easy to add a Patreon link, you can add it as a custom button or use a plugin, for example - https://wordpress.org/plugins/patron-button-and-widgets-by-codebard/
You can also generate your own buttons through the Patreon dashboard - https://www.patreon.com/dashboard/widgets
I am interested in starting a podcast directory which would lead to podcasts being on their own separate pages. As I understand it, this would incorporate both of your themes as one is for single podcasts and the other is for directories, correct? Is it possible to combine both to get the best of both worlds, so the directory is displayed on the front page and single podcasts displayed when they click through.
Thanks for reaching out! Yeah, you'll get access to support and updates with this lifetime deal.
We have 5 themes. Basically all of them can be used for single podcasts or for directories, but only the Tusant and Bolden themes have the "Shows" section that can help you display multiple podcasts on their own pages all on the same website. You don't need to combine two themes or anything, but if you want, you can do this with subdomains or WordPress Multisite.
The AppSumo plan will include all future updates to the themes, and access to new/future themes.
Q: Hello,
I bought podcast.
co on Appsumo and would like to synchronize the platform with a wordpress site with your theme. I tried your free theme, but it's very simple. In your paid theme, do you have widgets working with elementor to display the episodes? Can we include the player in the header of a post? Can we disable the download of the episode ? (in the free version, it's not possible to disable it).
And my last question, maybe it seems obvious, but could you clarify where the episode are located once the podcast RSS is imported? Do we use the ressources of our website hosting or of podcast.co to play the episodes?
Thanks for reaching out! Yeah, in our paid themes we have Elementor "elements" (or "widgets") that would help you display your podcast episodes in various ways. Our themes would also automatically include the audio player in the header/title area of your posts.
You can easily disable the download button via podcasting plugin you're using (usually PowerPress or Seriously Simple Podcasting)
Once you import your podcast RSS feed into WordPress, the episodes "live" on both places. Basically the content is cross-posted to WordPress (automatically, for future episodes too!) and you'll be able to display all of your episodes on your WordPress website.
With that said, the actual audio content would still be server from your Podcast.co hosting, so this means your listeners would still a better delivery of the audio file, and you would be able to see the stats of those plays.
So to sum up, just like any other website, when someone visits your site, the website's server/resrouces are being used, except that when the audio plays, it actually loads from the Podcast.co servers. (for future reference/other readers - you can also serve the audio files from your WordPress server, an external server like AWS if you prefer, it's fully up to the user to decide)
1. If you mean that you want to include the transcription on the archive/grid/list layout (where multiple podcasts are being displayed on the demo), you can definitely do so but it would probably just generate a very, very long page. We recommend to keep the full transcription on a separate page, but it's up to you.
2. Yeah, our themes are fully compatible with WooCommerce so you can sell products with this integration.
1) Sure! You can set up an automatic import process to cross-post your episodes from Podigee onto WordPress automatically.
2) Of course. This is only an example copyright text, which you can easily change via the WordPress customizer.
3) This is not something that comes with the theme by default, but with that said, there are many options such as plugins or custom code that could help you use custom fonts or Typekit fonts for example.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions, I'm more than happy to help!
Thanks for posting your comment. This product includes a bunch of WordPress themes and plugins that could help you create your own podcast website. Q: Hello,
I'm interested in the Bolden theme to build out a podcast network.
(1) I'd like to confirm that I can use the theme to link each show on the primary network page to a sub-domain path URL.
I don't see why I wouldn't be able to, but want to ask to make sure I'm not missing anything, because on your demo site each show is not a sub-domain.
(2) Alternatively, do you have people using the theme to link out each show listed on the master page to separate domains for each show?
I also ask this because on your demo the "Website" button for each show is not active, but it implies linking out to a new website address.
(3) On the demo, each show's page is standardized with the same layout and design. Are there any limitations on styling each show's page to be unique and quite different from other show pages that are a part of the same network?
(4) At present, the themes appear geared towards presenting podcast media and little else when many here would be adding details on available services and/or products.
So if we were to beef up these pages for professional service and product offerings, the question is:
What are the limits of these themes in terms of adding plug-ins?
Are there any incompatible plug-ins you can identify now?
Has anyone created storefronts using your themes as starters?
(1+2) The theme does indeed show the "Website" button on the show pages. You can insert any link there and point to any external domain, sub-domain, or a link on the same site.
Basically you can also set up a WordPress multi-site and create a separate sub-domain for each show, but this may require some extra customization from your end to ensure that all the posts communicate between the network.
Lastly, I believe you can also map a sub-domain into a page on your site, but then again, it's not something that relates to the theme specifically.
Most people either hide the "Website" button, or indeed use it to link to a separate domain.
(3) Sure. With the help of the Elementor page builder, you can edit any page/post/show and make sure the layout is different for each.
(4) It's hard to list limits in terms of plugins or incompatible plugins since WordPress has 55,000 plugins on the WP.org repository alone, plus tons of plugins that are not listed. This is also why we cannot ensure that every 3rd party plugin would work, but with that said, in most cases you'll find a plugin that works well. We don't have any specific limits on the theme's side that would create major conflicts with other plugins.
WooCommerce is fully compatible, so if you're after a storefront, you should be good to go.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help!
I notice Post and Podcast, but haven't figured out how to host a blog (post type) and two podcasts (podcast type) as there are not more options than these two types.
Thanks for stopping by! Yeah so by default you have the regular "Posts" (blog) post type, and if you use the SSP plugin, a "Podcast" post type would be added. (We also add our own "Shows" post type on the Bolden/Tusant themes)
Basically you can create a new post type yourself in a Child Theme or add one via a plugin. With that said, if you just want to have two separate podcasts, you don't necessarily have to separate them into two post types - you can use separate categories and then only display one of those categories on certain pages for example.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
