Q: Hello.

I purchased a seat to review.
Looking at the tutorials, its seems to be a lot of generic
size builds. The 3D models also seem very faceted in the end.
Can you build precision models with this?
Can you have extremely smooth geometry generated?

Im used to SolidWorks.
We sketch complex 2D sketches with fully
dimensioned and constrained relations.
IE 2 lines are parallel to each other etc.
Can you do this?

Are there any detailed training videos covering high precision modeling,
that you can recommend?

Im considering buying a 2nd tier, but want to understand its capabilities better.
Thanks

A: I can generate smooth objects by just increasing the number of segments when creating the object.

As for drawing, SelfCAD is not parametric software, but we have plenty of options to measure everything. The most basic option is to manually enter the size and the angle into the text boxes on the bottom left side of the workspace when you draw.

You can also customize the precision settings to customize options such as snap or minimum step and angle size. You can also use the symmetry option to draw objects in parallel.

Here's a tutorial that showcases the precision settings described above. https://www.selfcad.com/tutorials/5ak5y1xd1z15263403130105xn2n5by7ys2s
