Unfortunately, Try-ons are still more miss than hit
I have been trying and testing various AI apps for a fashion boutique niche, where there is often all you have are boring e-comm product imagery supplied by the label. But to successfully sell that stock, for example, on social media, those pieces usually look significantly better on a model. To hire a real model and a professional photographer sometimes is not cost-effective. Therefore, apps like this indeed promise something that there is a huge demand for.
Unfortunately, with Sellerpic, I found more limitations than possibilities. There is no way to describe the output with text, helping the AI analyse the image, so I am constantly getting outputs with wrong sleeve and hem lengths. It seems to just replace what the selected model is wearing, instead of adjusting the model to the product image uploaded. Also, with more editing, for example, to lengthen the hem, other important details, like necklines and pleating became distorted (even though they were perfect in the original output), which was simply frustrating.
Finally, when I got something half decent, I noticed that the model's face resolution is weird (which happens to upscaled imaged), but here is the thing, the weird eyes matter even on an e-commerce product, because they evoke a subconscious sense of suspicion when looking at the picture, which means that uneasy feeling intefers with the whole question of customer trust - so many thing happen on that subconscious level, we have to get it right.
Other apps had very realistic faces when zoomed in. Sometimes scarily realistic. But not Sellerpic, and I can't understand why. Some auto-upscaling? Hmmm. And the selection of models - although seemingly large, is restrictive, because of that "replacement of their original garment" approach that I noticed. So many credits get wasted because of that.
Frankly, even the best apps are tried, do also produce a lot of errors in their outputs; this type of AI is still in its infancy. But often they are much better at rendering edits. And, in fact, originals.
While an LTD is very tempting, this is just wasting my time without a truly workable result, which I know I have achieved with other similar apps.
Hope this feedback will be taken on board, but I am refunding.
There may be other parts of this app that suit other types of sellers, but for the fashion boutique with a more premium positioning and prices, Sellerpic is not up to the requirements and expectations. Sorry.
