Unnecessary Parts / Room for Improvement
I just bought the lowest tier to test it out before I upgrade.
Some feedback:
1) Duplicated tab function:
Send files & eSignature are essential the same tab. Just keep it as Send files since the eSignature function is there and understood to be there
2) Unnecessary workflow friction for signing:
After adding eSignature, it's a must to input recipient email - I'd like to have the file uploaded first, and input recipient's email later and as optional (like usual online PDFs editors/signers). Since it's meant as a link to recipient, I don't see why this has to be insisted before my file can be uploaded
On another note, while I can understand for the need to input email to access the file in the case of having multiple signers, perhaps it can be an unique link generated method instead?
For 1 signer case which would be mainly my usage, the link itself should suffice. And since I've disabled required email verification (as I want to remove the the extra step for client having to go into email), there shouldn't be the need to input their email to access (again relating to inputting email being optional; and no purpose as it invites question from client e.g. would I be receiving it after I input email? - point #3)
3) Disabling download:
For my case, I just want the client to use the link and sign. I want the client to view the docs there for the heatmap, not download and read at own time (defeating the purpose of insights). Also why does "The owner has set this file to prohibit downloading" have to be there? It's unsightly for client to see this
4) Request - Permanent mass-accessible file (Non-signing docs):
As I understand what this platform can do, it occurs to me that it'd be helpful if I can upload eg. a PDF (e.g. my intro/pitch slides) that never expires. Such that I can send this link to anyone (and that's where email input can be set as mandatory), for me to be able to capture insights on the respective viewer (i.e. I would know which slide catches more attention for whom). On this note, it could be a further meaningful feature to implement a statistics tabulation e.g. 50 people viewed the file; 80% of viewers spent more time on page 5 etc.
5) Better UI: The portal looks modern enough however, some areas can be improved in terms of the layout formatting and also better fluidity - just an aesthetic comment.

Will increase my rating if these restrictive experiences can be improved. Certainly see value in this and will provide more feedback as it comes along!

Dec 16, 2025Thanks for your feedback and thoughts in the review!
1) Absolutely, we actually are retooling the eSignature workflow so that it is more of a step-by-step for people who want to send eSignature. We had a lot of feedback people didn't know where to find it when it was all in the Send tab so this was a temporary fix. But, right now it is similar except for using the eSignature tab will not let you accidently forget to add an eSignature (a problem that kept coming up). So hopefully this all looks cleaner for everyone soon!
2) We'll definitely look into different ways to work this flow. Currently, it's the way it is so that anyone can view the file (for example, if legal needs to review, but doesn't sign), but the signer is designated for the various parties (this helps against accidental signing by the wrong party in complex cases). But, definitely can be improved upon!
3) Agreed, there definitely doesn't need to be a notice. We'll look into different options of how best to handle this (likely removing all mentions of it entirely to make the appearance cleaner).
4) This is an interesting one to us since the decision to make it non-permanent was specifically due to trying to help users with security concerns. We wanted to ensure that no one was accidently leaving data persistently in the cloud with access (similar to if you leave something on cloud storage and forget about it). But, as the userbase grows and we learn more about the needs we're open to changing this to adapt to how people are using the platform (and possibly moving to a reminder model where we let people know the access exists, but it doesn't auto-expire it for them if they want it permanently).
As for your second point on this, we actually do have analytics related to aggregate stats on a file. If you go to the Analytics tab -> click into a file -> Performance tab, you'll see metrics such as "average percentage of document viewed", "total visits", "top pages by time spent on them", "drop off repot on which page most viewers stopped reading", and "average time per page". We're actively working the UI so that it's more obvious where/how to find these metrics!
5) We're actively working some UI updates, but if there's anything in particular you thing is off/could use improvement please always send feedback our way at support@sendturtle.com so we can look into it for future updates.
Appreciate all your thoughts!
