Meta Titles and Meta Description does not work
Google will not index these pages. Meta Titles and Description for all pages created using this plugin comes up as "The Best [search-term] in [location]" if using Yoast and "The Best in | sitename " if using Squirrly. Meta description is the same. Spent hours trying to get this to work. Google will NOT index them.

May 9, 2024Hi JR73232,
Thanks for giving SEO Generator a try and for sharing your feedback here. We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way about our WordPress plug-in.
Fortunately, we think that we can help you getting SEO Generator to work for you, too!
1) The placeholders [search-term] and [location] do work for the both the meta titles and meta description in Yoast. We’re tested this in numerous websites.
If this is not working for your website, we can help you fix this.
2) We’ve added native fields in the plugin for the SEO title and meta description, in version 2.3.0. Can you check which version you are using. Of course, the placeholders also work in these fields.
3) We haven’t thoroughly tested SEO Generator with Squirrly SEO, but we’ve heard from several clients that this combination works for them.
You can always switch off Squirrly SEO for the Custom Post Type that SEO Generator creates.
Finally, when you say that Google will not index these pages, is that your expectation? Or did you actually test this, by submitting your XML sitemap in Google Search Console and allowing Google some time to index your pages?
Please, send us an email at info@seogenerator.io, so we can help you fix these issues. Be sure to include a link to a created page, the created sitemap and a screenshot of the settings you filled out.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Tim & Jeroen
