Not sure if I'll keep it...
I was extremely excited about this deal when I saw it, especially as I'd been gazing wistfully at tools like Ahrefs for a few months now, but they were beyond my budget at the moment. Serpstat looked like a great solution and I always like lifetime deals!
When I got into the tool after buying the Appsumo deal, I was disappointed to find that it didn't pull up ANY of the terms that I know I rank #1 for. Actually, it didn't pull up any of the top 25+ keywords that bring in the most traffic! I figured, hey, it probably just needs a bit to pull everything up.
It's been nearly a month and it hasn't pulled anything up.
I finally decided that I'd had enough and reached out to support. Turns out that database doesn't just mean countries, people! It means that they have a manually updated database of keywords. In other words, if I hadn't already been monitoring my Google Analytics and Search Console stats, I wouldn't have had any clue that the completely random keywords that Serpstat said were my 'top' keywords weren't even in the right ballpark.
If I have to manually type up and send in keywords that I need added to the database, then that part of Serpstat is completely useless to me. I don't trust its analysis to tell me how I'm really ranking against other sites, either, since it probably doesn't have most of the keywords I or my competitors are positioned for! Very disappointing.
I'm now considering getting a refund since this eliminates most of the reasons I had to buy the Serpstat deal. Maybe it works for mainstream e-commerce sites, but niche sites don't seem like a good fit at all.
