Q: Assessment only

Hi,

I'm currently looking for a platform that allows me to build and sell assessments only. So no course, just the multiple choice secton and then the ability to provide the results and feedback on why the answer is wrong. Can your platform do that?

Second, please reconsider your position on CNAME, I've never seen this feature put behind a paywall before. if I were to use your platform I'd want it to be behind the scenes of a website I can fully control and blog on.

A: Hello Mark!

Currently, our analytics are available at the course level rather than for individual students, but we are actively working on more detailed student-level analytics, which should be available within the next month. We would advise you to check in a little bit later - we will have support for the features you request!

Regarding CNAME - we understand how important branding and customization are for our users. At the moment, this feature is not part of the AppSumo deals. However, we’re always evaluating the details of our offer and features based on user feedback, so we appreciate your input.

04.04.25 UPDATE - Tier 3 users can now take full advantage of custom domains! You can set up a custom domain and configure a custom email address for sending automated messages to your users.

Thanks, I'm not sure I've explained it correctly. On one of the test courses I spotted it's possible to ask multiple choice questions, and the student can be given hints. My question is can a course be made up of just a series of muiltiple choice quesions? Also, do you have a question limit? e.g. could there be 500 questions? 1000 questions?

There is no limit to the number of multiple-choice questions you can include in a course. We’ve tested up to 100 questions so far, but there hasn’t been a request for more—if you need 500 or 1000, that should work fine! A course can be made up entirely of multiple-choice questions, with hints provided to students if needed.

Just to add, CNAME isn't so much about branding, it's more about keeping a consistent experience for users. I wouldn't want to have to send them to a completly different website.

I agree with @MarkJDraper CNAME is so important so that the course is running on your own domain name, not sending the users to a completely different site. Having a feature like CNAME being withheld for all appsumo tiers is very disappointing and I am another who is not able to consider this product without CNAME. Thanks

We understand that CNAME is essential for a seamless user experience, not just for branding. We hear you, and we’re actively considering how to include this in the AppSumo offers. Stay tuned for updates!
