Q: Question using Notion
Hi team, I'm thinking of using Notion as my datasource. Some questions for my use case to ask:
1) Can this be used as a blog? I noticed it has the blog widget/template, but it's very bare
- Can it be customised according to my website theme ie. using it as iframe on my website?
- Not sure about SEO, but is iframe on my website able to help? - which my concern would be customisation. I'm ok to set it as a separate link or subdomain instead of iframe, but I need the customisation functions to be at least a decent basic level to correlate to my website theme
2) Can this be used to build a client/member login portal ie. login system, password protected etc. ?
3) Is this capable of showing relations and is edit/write access possible? Eg. a member login to update his particulars (get synced back to Notion) - akin to soft, glide etc.?

1. Yes this can be used as a blog. Right now, the blog widget is simple but I am redesigning it over the next month for alot more configuration.
- You can Iframe/embed any widgets onto your own website
- Yes, an iFrame will be fine for SEO. You can read more about it on our help docs here. https://help.shareables.ai/publishing/seo
- You have a variety of ways you can customize your widgets, and you can also apply custom CSS and JavaScript to make them as close as possible to your existing website theme. If you send me an email with your current website, I can help you get set up! ([email protected])
2. Client/member login access is coming early Q2. We do already have password protection for all widgets, though.
3. Forms and editing is coming soon for all data sources. This will work nicely with Client logins too.
- Regarding relations / Linked records - We do show these currently but they just appear as a static value (which can be used as a field value and/or filter, search etc). It's on the roadmap to investigate building more functionality into them
Let me know if you have anymore questions!
