While the tool is still young and warrants attention, its interface could be polished as it's not particularly intuitive. Adjustments will definitely be necessary. It's functional at the very least, so I recommend it.
In my current case, I have a limit of 150 keywords, which I find very low. I recommend the company revisits the number of keywords tracked for all users who have purchased this product.
The support does exist, even if it lacks responsiveness; they were able to solve a problem.
SheerSEO Review: Disappointed by Limitations, Support, and Usability
My experience with SheerSEO has been underwhelming. Here’s why:
No JavaScript Support on Basic Plan
If your site relies on JavaScript, the basic tier won’t work—you’ll need to upgrade to Pro. My developer confirmed this right away.
Rigid Domain Policy
One of the biggest letdowns: you can’t change your registered domain unless you upgrade. I no longer use my original domain due to a shift in business strategy, yet SheerSEO refuses any flexibility. I never requested a price adjustment or refund. I only asked to change the domain associated with my account, as I no longer use the old one. It’s unreasonable to deny such a simple request—especially when I’ve already paid for the product. If they refuse to allow a domain change, it’s the customer who loses their investment. Unfortunately, they seem indifferent to that.
Poor Support & Price Discrepancy
I paid $75 for the lifetime deal, only to see it later at $49. No price match, no help. Support has been slow and unhelpful throughout.
Weak Documentation & Onboarding
There’s no real tutorial. You’re sent to a vague blog with videos that don’t explain much. First-time users will struggle.
Buggy Interface & Feature Gating
There are minor UI glitches, and many features are locked unless you pay more—even under a “lifetime” plan.
Inconsistent Support
Some users get replies; others (like me) are left hanging.
⚠️ Summary: Not for Everyone
If you need JS crawling, domain flexibility, real support, or proper onboarding—SheerSEO likely isn’t the right choice. Better SEO tools are available. I believe many of the positive reviews may be paid, sponsored, or not entirely genuine.

User for 3 years demands to replace domain with single code. I say this is possible only with 2 codes. He gets angry and leaves a bad review. I wanted to give a low price plan with one code. It is very usable for users with an online website. For their business maybe. But users who use it for their clients, will require 2 codes or more.
As for the Javascript. Most sites use Javascript for things...
I'm just posting this review to let people know that you need to subscribe to their pro plan if your site is js based. The product itself seemed all good, it was just limited for my case and as this wasn't mentioned in the body of the offering I wanted to ensure potential future purchasers know. If your site isn't javascript based, then I'm sure this tool will be a good addition to your library.

Sorry for that. JS rendering is resource-heavy. We only support that in the pro features. This license can be upgraded to that level if necessary. Just to be clear. Most pages use JavaScript only to render things like menus. We support this! What we don't support is when all the content of the page is retrieved by JavaScript, which is rare.
Great SEO tool for tracking and researching keywords and backlinks
4.5 Tacos, but I'll round up to 5 given the very quick support.
The cons? A few buggy interface bits here and here, but the pros include really easy to use keyword research and tracking, good tracking over time, backlinks inspection, great ability to dive into competitors, and some useful tools for on page SEO.
Plus when I found a bug or two, a developer got back to me quickly to acknowledge, and then again once fixed.
SheerSEO: Good Product, Concerning Customer Service
I've been using SheerSEO since I purchased a license via AppSumo back in 2022. On the whole, the product itself is quite robust and offers a solid suite of SEO tools for tracking, keyword research, and reporting. It's been genuinely helpful in managing my clients' SEO efforts, and for the price point, it's a good value for the features provided.
The Product (Pros):
Comprehensive SEO features for tracking and analysis.
Intuitive interface that's relatively easy to navigate.
Good value for money, especially through the AppSumo deal.
Provides actionable insights for SEO campaigns.
The Customer Service (Cons - My Biggest Pet Peeve):
However, my positive experience with the product has been significantly overshadowed by a recent interaction with their customer service, which has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.
When I initially purchased the license in 2022, I proactively reached out to their support to clarify a crucial point: if a client's business were to unfortunately cease operations, would I be able to change the associated domain on my base license rather than losing it entirely? At that time, I was explicitly told that, yes, this would be possible – I could reassign the domain and wouldn't need to purchase a new slot.
Fast forward to recently, one of my clients unfortunately declared bankruptcy, and their website is now completely defunct. As per the previous understanding, I contacted SheerSEO customer service yesterday, expecting to simply facilitate the domain change. To my dismay, I was met with a resounding "NO." A big, fat, unequivocal refusal to change the current domain.
Adding insult to injury, the customer service response I received was frankly quite rude and unhelpful. It's incredibly frustrating to be given one set of information when making a purchase decision, only to have it completely contradicted and dismissed when you actually need that flexibility.
As a result, I currently have an SEO license running on a website that no longer exists, rendering that part of my investment completely useless. This rigid stance and the unhelpful, rude demeanor of the support team are a serious concern and significantly detract from the overall value of the product.
Conclusion:
While SheerSEO delivers on its promise as a capable SEO tool, potential buyers should be very wary of their customer service policy, especially regarding license flexibility. The product is good, but if you anticipate needing any form of adaptive support, you might find yourself in a challenging situation, as I currently am.

Hi,
To be able to replace domains, you need tier two or above. This is stated clearly and I said that multiple times here. Many clients upgraded for that reason, so it isn't fair to allow that. Sorry
