I needed an SEO tool that would help me start to grips with SEO for my (very) small business.

At first, I was a little confused about some functionality (such as reading that there are competitor features included in this deal but then not being able to access the 'competitor' tab on the site). But then, as I saw in some questions and answers on appsumo, some competitor functionality is there - you just have to find it.

In a reasonably short amount of time, I have been able to get a list of the keywords some of my competitors rank for, see how I am performing on those keywords and set up my own target keyword list to monitor over time. Results come through once a week, though if I add new keywords I immediately get their ranking (rather than having to wait until my next keyword update day).

There are a handful of premium features - some enhance the tool itself (such as daily keyword ranking checks, or allowing an increased number of keywords) or are designed to help enhance your ranking (directory listings and blog backlinks). I have paid for a few directory listings, and the process was simple, with payment taken by PayPal.

As I am not an SEO pro, I cannot comment on the quality of the results. But some areas I think need work do come to mind. For instance, I find the UI/UX a bit clunky (like having to wait for tooltips to load with an animated progress bar, or the issue I mentioned about having some competitor functionality but no access to the competitor tab). Though I guess these things can always change over time.

Functionality such as on page SEO, social data, and toxic links all provide countless essential pieces of information to help me smarten up my SEO for 2021. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.
