I can't remember when a company came in here and lied like this, and I can't imagine why. If you have a relationship with Grum or are partially/fully owned by Grum, why not own up to it?
To say you have no relationship, be exposed that you do, then remove that evidence from your site......not a good look boys.
Y'all better come back in here and do some 'splainin' — or this deal is likely gonna go south in a hurry.

Or, they were saving on lawyer fees and copy/pasted that policy. They were not very thorough with the Find/Replace process. Maybe 5% of the websites actually get a lawyer to create these. That might even be too high. Virtually all of of them are copy/pasted. It is just the way it is.

Maybe they didn't lie. Maybe they just copied Grum's privacy policy and forgot to remove Grum's branding.
I've copied someone else's privacy policy before and changed the branding to my own brand.
It's just a rookie mistake most likely.

Hey Sumo-lings,
Not a big deal here. Although AppSumo. Sumo, KingSumo and SendFox are all sister companies, we are completely different businesses with different CEO's, financials, roadmap, vision, etc. I don't even know half the team over at Sumo. People always ask me about Sumo and my response is always, I have nothing to do with them... because we don't. We do however cross-promote from time to time and borrow resources if needed.
Likewise the team at Shorby operates completely separate from the Grum team. The TOS was simply borrow and now being updated to reflect more accuracy.
In regards to the lack of updates with Grum, that is simply due to the difficulties of operating emulators in order to post to Instagram directly - and how often they change their code base.
With Shorby, since it's a 3rd party link, the team has more freedom to work on the project rather than play cat & mouse.
