Don't deliver what they promise

Very, very sneaky, Shor.by. I had some features not working, when I checked with Shor.by they said I was on a "Start Plan' through AppSumo which does not exist on this product page. But I could pay a fee to upgrade to the Rocket Plan. Which as you can see from the product page is what I started with. Would not trust this company.

Disappointed

I was very disappointed to buy a limited plan in terms of features. It would be quite reasonable for Shorby to allow us access to the mid-plane. It's part of those purchases that we make without understanding the tool very well and then we regret it, you know?

Had high but extremely frustrated with support

It took me a while to actually start using Shorby but I got super excited to set it up and start using. Unfortunately on my first creation of a Shorby page there are bugs. There are links that are showing up twice. I understand things happen and support let me know it was a bug and they would fix it within 6-8 hours. That was last week and I've contacted support multiple times with no response. Very frustrating.

It`s good to start with

I like it very much and use it with all Insta accounts. I had no problems at all with anything, such as loading time or delays. Everything works good. Support is very good and responsive.
However, I give 4 stars.
Why? Since this deal was here there are no updates at all. At least any visible ones. When I check Roadmap on Trello, there is not much happening, except many requests left without response.

Comparing to competitor here, Shorby has long way to go yet. I wish them good luck and hopefully they come up at least with simple features such as change fonts, fonts colour and so on. Not saying about other features such as embed email form forms, video....

Good luck

Lack of SSL-compatibility is absurd

I really wanted to love Shorby. I stacked multiple codes with high-hopes. I submitted constructive feedback and kept it positive even when messages weren't responded to for days. And I stressed to the Shorby team from the beginning that they had to make the product compatible with SSL certificates. And I waited. And waited. Clearly this isn't a big deal for most folks, but it's a huge deal to me. As a website designer I will not send prospective clients to an unsecure site; even if only 1-out-of-10 prospects gets the "unsecure" screen of death, that's 10% of my potential customer base that wonders what the heck I'm doing leaving a site unsecure. Forget ever working with that person. I stressed this almost 12 weeks ago and was told it was coming soon... and now I'm told it's a few weeks away but that they can't give a reliable ETA. All the while they seem more focused on their affiliate links than... I dunno, usability? So I've had multiple codes for a product I can't use for almost three months. For the past few weeks I've been thinking, "shame on me for not seeing the warning signs; shame on me for sticking with a company that didn't prioritize such a basic feature from the beginning." But more and more I'm thinking, "Shame on Appsumo for pushing a product that can't use SSL." Seriously, it's 2019, soon to be 2020, and who on earth promotes a product that can't use SSL?! it's not like browsers were sneaky about this - they've only been warning folks for years that they were finally going to crack down... Many of us here are freelancers and we're supposed to send potential clients to an unsecure site?! What would that say about us? And what does it say that Appsumo didn't realize this?... I really, really wanted to love Shorby. I'd settle for liking it. Instead it's a huge fail that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And to add insult to injury, less than 48 hours after Shorby exits Appsumo, ContactinBio pops up with all of its bases covered including SSL... I know Appsumo offers similar products in a given field/industry which is usually helpful because we all have slightly different needs... but that feels like a kick in the gut after a three-month charade. Lesson learned. I'll give Shorby two tacos because it's the holiday season.
