Q: You disabled "replies" to one of your answers.

So, I'll replicate it here:

You mentioned that your branding is "subtle", and this is the screenshot you gave as an example:

This is by no means "subtle"! This is screaming out loud your brand!

This is ridiculous, not to mention your extremely low mins per month. Passing this one unless you increase to realistic limits and remove ALL branding for Tier 3 and above.

A: Thanks yes the replies were not disabled and sorry for the delay I am still getting to grips with this messaging :-)

Re the storage, yes I hear you, we are looking into it as it does seem to have caused some upset. Re the branding, I replied on another post to explain our thinking so will cut and paste, sorry its a bit long :-) Didn't mean to offend and watch this space re storage

I think there is some confusion about the branding. The final video, in other words your finished product has no ShoutOut branding at all, unless you want to have our branded outro as an option.

We do have a small logo on your branded upload link that you send to someone to record a video, for example sending to a customer to ask for a testimonial video.

I think it’s best to think of this like using Zoom, Webex or Teams. If you sent me a Zoom link for a meeting the Zoom brand causes me no friction, in fact it’s comfort for two reasons, firstly I know the brand specialises in online meetings and secondly If I have an issue and need some tech support I can contact zoom rather than the person that invited me to the meeting, in this case you, as that would feel awkward for me. It may be better for you also, not having people calling you up with tech questions you may not be able to answer or having to make your own FAQ’s and tutorial videos etc, product suggestions or asking you how they can use it for their business.

I think it’s a well trodden path for companies to use customer facing SaaS solutions, zoom, box, dropbox, wetransfer, webex, teams, calendly etc. I am not comparing us to these large companies of course I am just illustrating the point.

That said we do have a well known platform and a few others who use ShoutOut as white label. For this platform, ShoutOut is integrated into their website and we work closely with them to provide the solution they need. This is the Enterprise package mentioned that is not part of the Appsumo deal. This requires a collaborative approach with some consultancy. Zoom does the same thing as a white label and I am sure others do too.

I am more than happy to discuss this if you are looking to white label ShoutOut and market it as your own product. Just let me know and we can set up a call to discuss it.

I do hope you understand that it will cost more that a couple of hundred bucks for a lifetime licence and that seems more than fair to me.

In our experience there are more positives than negatives with people knowing the product they are using. Happy to be educated with an alternative view though, every day is a school day for me and of course I think about this stuff all the time :-). I really appreciate all your feedback and comments, it means so much that you would take the time try to improve what we are doing with ShoutOut and share your experiences and knowledge. This is a journey for us and I don’t have all the answers.
Remember the video itself is not branded
