Q: Hello friends, I have been checking the official website, the help center and other useful information about ...
Sidekick, I have some questions prior to purchase:
1. What are the minimum requirements for iMac? I have seen on a third-party website that an operating system is 10.8 or higher.
In my case I am on a 10.13 High Sierra with 20 GB of RAM, I would not like to buy and have it out of updates very soon (yes I know! I should change equipment soon, but at least I want to have a margin while I do it 😅 my equipment is going very well, but both Google and Apple force users to buy new equipment, unfortunately) I currently use Google Chrome and I am already out of future updates due to the operating system I use 😕
2. I saw that Sidekick is based on Chromium open source. Does this mean that I will be able to use all the extensions that I have in Google Chrome without problems? I have special interest in: Typedesk, Gofullpage, Meta pixel helper, closely, Guiderjar and Harpa.ai.
3. I was a Franz user, it reminds me a lot. I moved away from Franz because at some point they started making a lot of interface changes to load unnecessary features and ended up (at least in my experience) making the app very slow... loading in general, logins, etc. I really liked the clean look and the promise of speed to work. Can you guarantee that you will maintain this line?
4. The topic of tabs and applications is not clear to me, I visited "marketplace/all Apps" on your website, but I don't see many that I use in my daily life... If I understand correctly, can I add any Web-based app, right? I'm interested in confirming: Any.Do, Sessions, Billed, OnlySocial, Zagomail, Guiderjar, Altachat, Closely, WhatsApp web, Gmail... Could these be added as organized tabs? And with those that appear in "marketplace" they refer to a type of "native" App with additional functions when integrated with Sidekick, or have I missed something?
Thanks in advance for the responses, I'm very excited about this opportunity, I honestly loved using Franz, until they ruined it for me. Before that it was much more productive and clear, a big problem with Google Chrome is the amount of resources it uses.

May 15, 2024A: Hi!
1. We are supporting 11+ versions of the OS, as I know :(
2. Yes, except for the New Tab Page extensions because we have a lot of logic on our NTP. Soon we will release an update and NTP extensions will be available.
3. I don't know anything about Franz tbh. We can guarantee that the speed will be okay. But I know problems with the speed might occur because of the insane amount of extensions that you installed. So keep that in mind
4. we have a reach amount of apps inside the Sidekick. Plus you could add your "custom" apps in 2 clicks, literally
@Nikita_Sidekick
5. By the way, I forgot to say that I downloaded from the official Sidekick website to try the free version: "sidekick-mac-release-x64-120.58.1.38487-aa998ff-df.dmg", but when I mounted the disk image I received the message: Error... Disk image corrupted, cannot be opened.
Why is this? Any other way to try it before buying?

Hi there,
Also to check the equipment requirements please visit the following page (we have the same ones):

Thanks for the responses @Nikita_Sidekick
I see that in the requirements it is mentioned for MacOs, Catalina 10.15 or higher. I understand then that that is why I couldn't install Sidekick to test it on my computer, right? and that in order to use it you would have to upgrade your equipment. As I mentioned before, at the moment due to the version of my Mac, I cannot update to the latest version of Chrome, I know it is something I have to do, because my computer still works wonderfully.
