Q: Does your tool allow me to use the same media files across multiple WordPress sites?

I was looking for a centralized file management plugin that will allow me to save all my media files in one repository, and then be able to use those files across multiple WordPress sites. So for example, let's say I have a photo and I want to use it across 3 different WordPress sites. Does Sigma Media Manager allow me to connect that document to be used on all three sites, or would I need to upload the same photo to each of those three sites separately? I'm just trying to understand your tool. I've looked at Filebird Pro and GoDam as alternatives, and would be helpful to understand your key difference before I make the purchase. GoDam pro seems to have that feature, but lack other functions.

A: Hi,
Thanks for reaching out, and great question.

To be upfront: Sigma Media Manager doesn't currently support sharing a single media file across multiple WordPress sites from one centralized repository. At the moment, you'd still need to add the file to each site individually.

That said, centralized cross-site media is something we're actively prototyping in our development pipeline. Once it's working reliably, we plan to roll it out as a core feature.
For your specific use case, you're right that GoDam Pro leans more into the cross-site/CDN-style media model. Sigma Media Manager is focused more on powerful in-site organization and management (folders, filtering, bulk handling, and workflow), so the strengths are a bit different depending on what matters most to you.

If centralized multi-site sharing is your top priority right now, I want to be honest so you can make the best decision before purchasing. If you'd like, I'm happy to keep you posted as soon as that feature ships.

Best,
Selim Rana
