After years of fighting the default WordPress media grid, Sigma Media Manager has been a real relief. The interface is clean and easy to read, and for the first time my library actually feels structured rather than like one endless wall of thumbnails.
Sorting assets is effortless. You can create unlimited folders and subfolders, drag files between them, and switch between grid and list views depending on what you're doing. A small detail I didn't expect to love so much: you can assign colors to folders. It sounds minor, but for quick visual scanning across dozens of folders it makes a huge difference — I can spot the right section at a glance instead of reading every label.
The feature I find most useful day to day is being able to work with files individually or in groups. Bulk actions let me select, move, and manage whole batches at once, and the document-library side handles downloadable files (PDFs, DOCX, XLSX, MP4, ZIP and more) cleanly, so pulling files out one by one or as a set is straightforward instead of fiddly.
On top of that there's smart filtering, AI-generated titles and alt text, and an unused-media scan to clear out clutter — and because it organizes everything visually without physically moving files on the server, it stays fully compatible with WordPress, themes and other plugins.
Overall it makes both the work itself and keeping an overview noticeably easier. Exactly the kind of tool that quietly saves time every single day. Highly recommended.
