Q: Sorry, wrong language :-)
I have tested documents in German and have encountered several problems.
In my imported documents, all umlauts are replaced by "?". An umlaut is a symbol that is written over vowels in German and some other languages to indicate how they should be pronounced. For example, the word "fΓΌr" has an umlaut over the "u". Also, in Word documents, the spaces for lists, e.g. in numbered sections, are filled with "?". Consequently, I would have to replace these spaces and the umlauts in order to carry out a check correctly. However, this is not the purpose of software that is supposed to perform a quick check. The error is reproducible, and now what?
A: Hi Thomas, thank you for your feedback. Could you please provide us with the link to your report where the issue occurred? We'll investigate and work to resolve it.
A: Unfortunately, it's not currently feasible. The app's primary function is to compare similarities among multiple documents. Implementing storage and querying features would entail a completely different product, and I'm uncertain if such additions are planned for the future.
A: Reports are generated online through the app and are easily accessible via a shareable link. I assume that report verification won't be necessary in this case, but it would indeed be a great addition to the product, especially for offline reports.
A: We would love to offer plagiarism checker and and have plans to integrate it into the app, however I'm unsure if it will be included in the AppSumo deal due to associated costs.
Q: Hello,
I am very interested in the features provided by SimilarDocs and would appreciate some assistance ...
in gaining a better understanding of the current and planned functionalities.
I'm wondering if the AS plan 3 corresponds to the enterprise plan that is shown on your pricing page.
I have observed that the roadmap only includes the heatmap report. Are there any other features currently being developed or under consideration?
I have come across some interesting feature requests in the Q&A section on AS. I am curious if API and webhook functionality are being considered, given the workflows implied by the use cases on your website.
Lastly, what is the maximum number of users permitted per code?
Do you provide any sample reports, and can they be viewed in a web browser?
Thank you for taking the time in answering my questions as I strongly consider Plan 3 being offered.
However, the product interface is available only in English.
Q: Three days ago, I emailed the support team but have not received a response yet.
I want to know the word limit per document for checking. The official website does not offer trial credits. Perhaps offering trial credits for checking 2 to 3 documents would be beneficial. Otherwise, seeking a refund after purchase can be a hassle.
A: The Library feature is now live! π We've also introduced a tagging option, allowing users to easily tag and organize their important documents. π·οΈ Check it out!
In our recent update, we've also included a heatmap view in reports, making it a breeze to summarize similar documents on a single screen. π₯ Stay organized and efficient with these new enhancements! π
A: SimilarDocs currently checks for plagiarism or similarity score against your own documents, not against the websites. For example, if you are a content creator, editor, or professor, you may have many documents with potential similarity issues.
A: Similardocs facilitates the comparison of two or more documents. One practical application of two documents checking is when dealing with annual lease agreements for a rented property. These agreements, often lengthy and subject to slight changes each year, can be efficiently analyzed by Similardocs to identify alterations without the need for a line-by-line review.
Another scenario is in the role of an editor, where one is tasked with tracking changes in a document. Similardocs proves beneficial in swiftly pinpointing modifications by highlighting similarities, saving considerable time compared to manual reading.
Additionally, for individuals seeking to enhance their writing skills, Similardocs provides a useful function for comparing old and new work side by side. This feature aids in the self-improvement of writing by identifying changes and similarities between different versions.
Q: The image that you have under "see the difference side by side".
I dont understand why only the red portion is highlighted. Both content are exactly same, it should be 100% (says only 45% in the image). Is this just lazy and sloppy demo image or am i missing something here ?
A: Currently, our product compares documents with multiple files, excluding the document itself. Rest assured, we've noted this and it's already on our to-do list for future updates. For more details, please check our roadmap: https://similardocs.com/roadmap
