Q: Have a few questions, will be very helpful if you can respond please:
1) Do clients need to be logged in to WordPress, in order to leave comments? 2) What's the difference between clients and guests? 3) Does the script tag change for each domain? I'm thinking of adding the script tag to my blueprint website (that gets duplicated for each client), and then simply adding the domain to the SC dashboard. Will this work? 4) I believe SC works on subdomains too? 5) For how long is this deal available on AppSumo?
A: 1) No they don't have to, they only need a link to you preview or live page. Other more secure ways are also available. 2) I don't think I specify quests anywhere on the? Do you mean quests like regular users? 3) Yes each domain has it's own script tag. Not sure about your setup but if you add one page, it will work on all subdomains for that page. 4) Yes it does. 5) End of August
1) Thank you. Regarding 'guests', I think I read somewhere and got confused. Maybe it was mentioned in one of the QnAs here by another member, I don't remember now. So you're saying there are 2 roles - the admin (me) and the clients? And how many team members can I add to my team - is there a limit to it?
2) Is there any difference in the lifetime plan being offered on AS /vs on the SC website?
I have purchased a license and I can see the module now on every page (great job, thanks!).
But when I want to share this capability with the internal team (those who would like to leave comments/questions), they do not have a persistent cookie. They are forced to manually append the param/value pair (?simple-commenter=true) manually to every URL (some of these people are not technical, they need it to be easy). As a result, nobody is using this tool.
What is the easiest way for me to give everyone a persistent cookie that loads the widget on every page for our site?
When I try to login to my account, I am forced to use the "Login with Magic Link" option, and since my company has an email screener, I am not getting any emails within the 10-minute time frame. Even when I try to Login with Password, I am told that I need to use the Magic Link.
I've set everything up already. But I want to be able to access my account. Please help!
I report what I think of, what I might be missing.
1) Comment title (optional) I miss an optional title for the comment field.
Then you would have Title and Description like in Canny.io. And if someone didn't provide it, then Description would become the Title.
2) Ability to reply to comments directly from the domain panel.
3) When I click on the link to report in the comment in the panel, a specific comment on the page should open for me. So that I don't have to look for it when there are several reported.

With the AS offer, you can add 5 team members. More can be bought separately if needed
As of right now, the AS vs SC offer is the same
Q: About updates ?
Hello, when I check this url :
https://www.simplecommenter.com/docs?category=updates
Every post is set to today, why that ? Is it a trick to appear up to date even if not ? It puzzles me and doesn't give me confidence.
Can you tell me ?

Jun 17, 2025A: Hi, this is strange. The cookies should be stored for some time.
Could you write me a support request about it?

Q: Login Requires Magic Link? Why?
When I try to login to my account, I am forced to use the "Login with Magic Link" option, and since my company has an email screener, I am not getting any emails within the 10-minute time frame. Even when I try to Login with Password, I am told that I need to use the Magic Link.

Jun 17, 2025A: You need to login once with Magic Link. And then set up a password under "Account".
Then you can login via password as well.

Q: 🗺️Missing elements for Roadmap
I report what I think of, what I might be missing.
1)
Comment title (optional)
I miss an optional title for the comment field.
Then you would have Title and Description like in Canny.io.
And if someone didn't provide it, then Description would become the Title.
2)
Ability to reply to comments directly from the domain panel.
3)
When I click on the link to report in the comment in the panel, a specific comment on the page should open for me.
So that I don't have to look for it when there are several reported.

4) Login
Can't this be simplified somehow?
This division into User / Client?
Is this necessary?
Or maybe it should be in a subdomain:
company-name.simplecommenter.com (or CNAME)
And that's where the client logs in?
5)
Ability to edit a comment (at least for logged in users)
6)
✅ Adding a tag Done.
Maybe instead of or to Archive.
Because something can be archived and not done :)
