Q: Seems a good app, but not enough to replace Markup
Hello there, we use Markup and are looking to switch to something else. This app seems to work the same way too. BUT I wish to see :
- a way to comment on mobile, tablet and desktop mode, so we can separate comments between those devices (quite important on QA phase)
- additionnal metadatas like screen resolution. I see you already have browser and device model.
- task status : instead of just checking the task, what if we could change them to another status like "Pending", "Waiting approval"...
Would you consider adding those features to your roadmap? If you do, when can it be released?
Some other questions :
- I see a tag functionality too. How does that work exactly?
- can we tag someone on a comment?
- do we receive an email notification when a comment is added or when we're tagged?
Thanks.

Jul 23, 2025A: Hi, Markup definitely has more features, as Simple Commenter has not been in the market that long.
The suggestions you gave are great. I will put them in the list. I can tell that the screen resolution is already being captured; users mostly wanted to know if the comment is taken on which device, not screen resolution per se, but it can be added back.
"Pending", "Waiting approval", etc. are good suggestions. Currently, there are only "Active" & "Resolved" states. Users have been requesting more states, so this is in the plans.
Tag functionality is only for sorting domains.
Tagging users is in progress.
As for emails, there are client-side and admin-side emails. You can receive emails when new comments are made or new replies are made. Clients receive emails when their comments are resolved or when new replies are added to their comments.
Hope this answers your questions.
