One the fence but promising tool
Similar to the other recently launched DMARC tool. Not quite as advanced but with a few improvements could surpass it. I like the way it breaks down the exact records in your DNS. I like the overall view of reporting in the reputation. It would be better if the software told exactly what was wrong instead of just giving the vague number and red. Also, did I miss the email reporting? I see how you login to see a report, but I do not see where I can have these reports sent via mail daily.
I think the tool is promising. The features just need to be finished out. Also the possibility to track subdomains, like mail.whatever.com instead of just the root domain. I tried adding a subdomain but the provided records would clash. I may have gotten around it by manually setting the record to include _dmark.mail.xx but not sure if that's going to work. Also the MTA-STS records and BIMI are not built into this system and just provide a place to upload them with no instructions on how to implement this. Also the adding of the DNS could be a little more guided. There's two steps, but unless you go and check the dashboard again you won't see the second step for the SPF record. Not super keen on the "active" versus "passive" status either. Why put a limit on that? Whats the purpose of a passive domain then?
Overall I can see where this tool is going, but not sure about keeping it yet. I bought tier 3 so I can fully test it. Going to give it a couple more weeks to see what the reports look like since it takes 48 hours. I do have 15 domains in though. We will see.

Jan 31, 2025Dear Customer,
Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful feedback! We truly appreciate you taking the time to test SimpleDMARC and share your experience. Your insights are invaluable in helping us improve.
We’re glad to hear that you find the DNS breakdown and reputation reporting useful. Our goal is to make DMARC monitoring as intuitive and effective as possible. Let me address some of the points you raised:
✅ More Detailed Error Insights:
We completely understand the need for more specific guidance when something is wrong rather than just showing a red indicator. We’re already working on enhancements to provide clearer explanations and actionable recommendations directly in the dashboard.
✅ Email Reporting for Daily Summaries:
Yes, email reports are an important feature, and we do have this on our roadmap. Right now, reports are accessible in the dashboard, but we plan to introduce scheduled email summaries soon so you won’t have to log in each time.
✅ Subdomain Tracking:
You’re absolutely right—subdomain tracking should be smoother. Right now, DMARC policy applies to all subdomains unless overridden. We are reviewing how to improve our handling of subdomain records to prevent clashes and make setup more seamless.
✅ MTA-STS & BIMI Implementation Guides:
Noted! While we currently allow users to upload these records, we agree that more guidance is needed. We will add clearer step-by-step instructions to make implementation easier.
✅ SPF Record Guidance & Setup Flow:
We appreciate your feedback on the DNS setup experience. We’re working on a more streamlined onboarding process that highlights the second SPF record step more clearly.
✅ Active vs. Passive Domains:
Active domains are those with ongoing reporting and monitoring, while passive domains are stored for reference without real-time analysis. This distinction helps optimize processing power and ensures users get the most value from their active domains. That said, we are reviewing feedback on this structure to see if adjustments are needed.
We’re excited that you’re giving SimpleDMARC a full test run with 15 domains and a Tier 3 plan. Please do reach out if you have any questions or specific feature requests. We look forward to hearing your thoughts after a few weeks of use!
Thanks again for your support and trust in SimpleDMARC. We’re committed to making it the best DMARC solution for your needs.
Best regards,
Gaurav Maniar
