Q: Is there a way to upload videos from my mobile to SinoSend's cloud storage

Hi Rishi
1a. Is there a way to upload videos from my mobile to SinoSend's cloud storage & then share them with anyone ? (Basically I record videos on mobile which go upto 10-20GB videos files, which then need to be shared to the video editor)
1b. Do you have a Mobile App for helping with this specific thing ? Or any other way if you could suggest ?

2. Also could you clarify these things:
"Send and receive up to 100 GB -Does it mean we can send & receive files upto 100GB at a time ?
1 TB lifetime storage - Does this mean a Cloud storage of 1TB for life ?
Email transfers up to 100 recipients
Unlimited transfers and requests per month

3. How good are the Servers in India ? I mean, is the upload & download Speed good in India ?

A: Hi Kapil,

We dont have a dedicate mobile app, and the browser version does not work well on mobile right now-- Also I would not upload such large videos from the a mobile device to any cloud storage -- the connection will often drop - for large files I would much prefer you use a laptop/desktop browser to transfer them for a more stable connection. -- However you may try but i can guarantee there will be a dropped connection from mobile.

100Gb means the maximum file you can send is 100GB in one time ~ Yes.
1TB lifetime storage yes - You need to login every 6 months atleast, if not we consider it a dormant account.

Email transfers up to 100 persons are per transfer. You can email 100 known persons with your attachment link.

3. We dont have a server in India, and currently our servers are in Hong Kong, the speeds may not be as fast as others with servers closer to you -- We need to make a sustainable service for the lifetime deal and cant really put servers in every location. However we have not had speed complaints from our customers there.

We're more of a large document file transfer solution, while speed is important, its not our main goal, effective, efficient file transfer and document tracking are.

Hope I answered your questions thoroughly..

for many the use case might not be the largest possible files but lots of small pictures and the occasional video. for me a mobile app is a must feature please

Yes your right, you can upload from a mobile using the web version, it is responsive, we will consider a mobile app, but results show people dont like to download apps, we wonder if its an effective use of our time to develop a mobile app (the wepp app should suffice for now)

If people pay for a service they are happy to install an app and for a complete service and for wanting to pay people expect an app. that is my experience. without an app its a half offering for many including myself

I'm aware that you don't have an app :) But these message are to understand if an app is going to make it onto your roadmap

HI Patrick, short answer is no. What some of our users are doing is installing the web app as a short cut to their home screen, while this is a stop gap, it doesn't have in app notifications; but will allow you to transfer images/etc from your phone.

It sounds from your last message like you neither have on your roadmap to make a mobile app nor to improve the current web app to work better on mobile phones? ie that overall mobile is not a market you want to invest into?

We are absolutely iteratively improving the current web app for mobile, that goes hand in hand with the application itself. - But for a dedicated native ios and android App on the App/Play store is not something that is on our roadmap. -- But improving the UX experience on mobile is -- We know that are a lot of UX issues on smaller screens right now, we're aware of it.
