I've utilised SitePoint forums and materials for many years primarily to learn new web-related skills and polish my existing ones. I like their books — as they collate information that, otherwise, I would spend hours searching for on the Internet. It's effortless to start learning new skills or to review the basics of a skill you already have using their freely available resources.

That being said, I never felt that the value-add of the monthly premium subscription could be justified on a long-term basis — so when AppSumo offered an LTD it was a no-brainer to purchase it immediately.

Anyone in web design or development should purchase this for when something unexpected pops up or to broaden their knowledge.
