Very Limited option

It is a no code thing yet they do not have templates for now.
I have to ask a refund.

Amazing!

I think this truly does have the potential to be one of the best app builders. Keep it up Team! Excited to see how you continue to build this!

I Bought This Based on Potential and Because I’m into Ux\Ui But...

There's some things which are not clear and I would like for you to address:

1. I can't find much information about the people who operate your company. The LinkedIn of your CEO's and CTO's seem not developed.

2. You claim you're in the USA. I don't think so. Your whole company seems to be based in Eastern Europe. That's cool, no need to hide it, eastern europeans are some of the best developers and designers in the world. Perhaps the company might be registered in the USA. But you're not based there or are you? I don't care if you're in Russia. I'll support you regardless.

3. Your business developer posted as a customer in the customer testimonial section of your landing page. I'm not sure why you would do that?

4. Your guides and most of the app features say coming soon. Why? When I had to write guides for my SaaS app. About 300 of them. I got it done in one week. Stay up, outsource, drink 3 liters of coffee. Why isn't this done yet? You're a business.

5. You're emailing your customers from a gmail address. Why?

6. Your support sucks. What's your SLA? Tickets shouldn't be hanging on without a response for more than 1 to 3 hours. Customer centric support will make you a winner.

7. I'm still not sure and my trust antennas are all over the place. Your documentation is lacking. Your LinkedIn profiles seem fake or not developed, etc. You're not sure where you're taking this company it seems.

8. I don't know what I am creating because no documentation. How do I know where my assets are stored? How do I update on-going applications. How do I work with clients? How do I do XYZ. Your academy is just saying coming soon. How soon? You been here for 2 weeks on AppSumo. Product Hunt, and the Figma community also have witnessed the launch of your product.

The good...

1. I love your attention to UI. It's a beautiful application.

2. Your idea is really good. Figma to React is a hell of an idea. You got a diamond in your hands if you can make this a success.

3. Your plans make this a cost effective option, and I like how we have total ownership of the applications we create and are not really dependent on Sizze.

4. I think your development team is from Eastern Europe, therefore I trust this application to continue with the highest attention to detail to design principles.

5. You're backed by Codefi. I don't think you'll just disappear out of nowhere now? So you got some initial support. This is good.

6. Figma and React are the future.

For now I'll give you 4 tacos being generous. It should be 3 though... but I think this deal was just rushed. I have faith that you'll turn it around.

Potential but not ready yet

I have to say I'm disappointed with this product. I had really high hopes for it as I was looking for a product which would allow me to get the design and basic functionality of an app down before exporting code and completing the more advanced features. This seemed to be perfect for apps which would need more complex designs and coding than AppMySite or Moxly would be capable of. Unfortunately it is behind both at this stage for a few reasons.

Firstly, most of the preset components are not yet developed, leaving any apps designed inside Sizze incredibly basic. And some of the functionality isn't intuitive - eg, dragging and dropping components doesn't work, you have to double click and then move it. And there are a few strange bugs which occur when moving things around on the screen.

Secondly, the actions are limited to moving between pages and logging out at this stage. Again, this really limits the potential for creating anything beyond a very basic app.

Thirdly, developer mode doesn't allow for editing code. I could put up with all of the above if I could add my custom code and test it within Sizze. Currently, as you can't import back into Sizze after exporting, you have to hope you have done everything you need to in Sizze before exporting and continuing development in your own development environment. Not ideal! Especially as there is currently no way to take payments through apps built in Sizze, so exporting the app is the only way to add this functionality. But this means I can no longer edit the app within Sizze itself, making the client sub-accounts, for example, fairly useless.

This is all disappointing, however there are certainly reasons to think there is a lot of potential here.

The fact you can export code and build on it later on away from Sizze does give this the potential to be a great starting off point in developing an app. It's likely that this is why I will stick with Sizze down the road, even if I decide to reduce my plan down from the 4th tier that I initially signed up to.

The reason I'm still considering keeping the 4th tier is the CMS system. It's certainly the area of the app which I am most impressed with. As it saves a lot of time in building a custom database for each app. The lack of options to search the database and create dynamic screens based on queries of the data do let it down at this stage. Although, the CMS screens do allow for dynamic screens from a menu. Once the manual for CMS API is ready this may be a much more useful feature.

In conclusion, there is potential for a great app builder that bridges the gap between no/low code and full app development. But it isn't there yet. I'm not planning on refunding (although I'm considering reducing my plan) because I do believe that in 6-12 months it could be a great tool. So if you're happy to invest in that potential, this is worth paying for. If you're looking for a complete app builder now then this might not be the product for you.

Limited functionality

I bought Sizze as soon as it launched but now I'm refunding. Here's why:

1. The app logic is in beta, and not much else is possible besides changing pages;
2. The CMS is built-in and has no way of connecting to other platforms like a webapp;
3. The code editor doesn't allow editing inside Sizze, it's only for code "visualization";
4. The support answers and roadmap are too generic for my taste, so it looks that there's no clear direction on what will happen in the short-mid term.

It has some pro's though:
1. It's easy to create a good looking app like Adalo but for a fraction of the pice;
2. The unlimited CMS might be great for an app that hosts a lot of media;
3. It allows exporting the code which could be great if you're a developer and just want a way to turn a Figma template into something workable.
