I have been using this app for the last few months and really happy with the development efforts and the functions it provides. It is really a time saver and value for money. Thanks, developers.

I don't see anywhere on your website how you handle privacy and security of the clipboard content, whether everything is local. Clipboard data can be sensitive information. And if you can tell me what I can do personally, at the same time still use SlashIt, so that I can feel at ease, that can be helpful. I don't see any information at all, nor any transparency of some kind, or at least some sort. There has to be something in place, or something I can do outside the ordinary. Please help. Please respond with a solution. I learned that it's browser-based Chromium and not native app. Is there at least an option to disable all internet connections with the app?

The snippet expansion itself works fine, but be aware this is an
Electron app: it runs 7 processes and ~700MB of RAM constantly on my
MacBook Air M4 (32GB). That's browser-engine territory for what is
essentially text replacement.
If you run a lightweight setup or use Raycast (whose Snippets feature
does the same job in ~90MB), the resource cost is hard to justify.
Functionality: 3 stars. Resource efficiency: 1 star.
Wish it were a native app — the concept itself is good.

I only bought tier 1 and before I could give it a test drive it was gone from appsumo. Now that I've been using it for a few weeks I love it! Please come back so I can upgrade!

As a university lecturer and teacher, I find Slashit App to be an indispensable tool that has completely changed my daily workflow. I no longer spend hours typing out standard replies to students, drafting feedback on assignments, or even preparing my lectures.

What truly sets this app apart is the immense amount of time it saves me on repetitive writing tasks. I've created templates for answers to common student questions, for feedback I frequently give on research papers, and even for drafting lecture objectives. Using simple slash commands, I can insert these texts anywhere—whether it's in an email, our learning management system, or Word documents—with a single keystroke.

The feature that absolutely amazed me is the AI rewrite function. When students submit their research, I can select a portion of the text, hit a hotkey, and instantly rephrase it in a clearer academic style, summarize it, or adjust its tone to be more objective. This has saved me an incredible amount of effort when providing illustrative examples to students on how to improve their own writing.

The built-in clipboard history is another invaluable feature. I am constantly copying links, references, and educational video links, and I no longer worry about losing any of them. The app is incredibly user-friendly and works seamlessly across all the applications I use. I highly recommend it to any teacher, professor, or even student looking to boost their academic productivity.
