Q: Does this work in South Africa?
Do you currently have clients in South Africa using Smart Clerk successfully with statements from banks like FNB, ABSA, Nedbank, Capitec or Standard Bank?
If yes, can you confirm which formats (PDF, CSV, etc.) you support and whether the system correctly handles South African Rand (R) currency and day/month/year date formats?
Also, how do you deal with VAT or local tax categories in South Africa?

Sep 12, 2025A: Yes, Smart Clerk is used by clients in South Africa, including those with statements from FNB, ABSA, Nedbank, Capitec, and Standard Bank. At the moment, we support PDF statements only.
The system handles South African Rand (R) without any issues, and we haven’t had any reports of problems with local date formats. For VAT and other local taxes, you can manage these through our invoices feature.
