Q: Questions about multiple account management

Multi-Account Management: Can I manage multiple business and personal bank accounts on the higher tiers? How do reports and integrations work for each registered account separately?

Transaction Allocation: For certain transactions (e.g., Stripe income), I need to allocate a percentage (e.g., 50%) towards royalties as an expense. Is this possible with SmartClerk? Can I set up custom rules for such allocations?

Royalty Expense Tracking: How would SmartClerk handle tracking and reporting royalty expenses across different income sources? Are there features to ensure these expenses are accurately categorized and reflected in financial reports?

Can I export reports for each account type separately?

Future integration plans with Plaid, Stripe, Paypal, Wise, Venmo, etc.?

A: When you have multiple businesses under your Smart Clerk account, they are treated as completely separate entities that you can easily switch between. Common use cases include managing multiple companies or separating personal accounts.

Allocating percentages (dividing the transactions) is not supported at the moment, but it's on our roadmap. Automating this process with custom rules is a next step, and we've taken note of it.

If those royalty expenses were divided and marked separately in Smart Clerk by categorizing them correctly, you could definitely view them in our highly flexible financial reports.

Currently, we can import data from PayPal, Cash App, Wise, etc (with pdf statements of course). However, direct bank integration with Plaid and Stripe is in the pipeline for release within the first half of 2025.

If bank integration is through Plaid you are leaving out 2500+ banks
in 30+ countries across the UK and Europe that are covered GoCardless bank account data.
