R2D2Q: Where are my data located? Topic of security!
How is my data handled, keyword GDPR, but also general security? Here it states that the headquarters is in the Netherlands—on your website, it says Dover USA. I would prefer to have my data within the EU and request an explanation. Thank you very much.

May 8, 2025A: You make a valid point. When you upload your statements, they are securely stored in a leading cloud storage service (in the US) using encryption. We also enforce strict access policies to ensure your data remains protected and never exposed on our servers.
Anyways, as stipulated by GDPR, we cannot retain sensitive data indefinitely. We have a sensitive data policy in place to address this requirement. After carefully considering feedback from AppSumo users, we have also added the option to permanently delete your statements after processing.
Finally, all our users have the right to be forgotten. If they choose to close their accounts, we will completely remove all sensitive and personally identifiable data from our servers.
Our company is located in the Netherlands, and we have a subsidiary in the United States for marketing purposes.
