I bought the SmartTask lifetime deal in good faith. Now they’re sunsetting V1 and telling lifetime users to pay again for V2... despite promising just six months ago that V1 would be supported “for the foreseeable future.”

If their foresight only lasts half a year, no wonder they're pulling a desperate cash grab.

This is a classic bait-and-switch. Lifetime should mean lifetime — not “until we rebuild it and decide to charge you again.”

If SmartTask won’t honor the deal on V2, they should offer full refunds. Otherwise, this is just fraud with extra steps.
