I'll preface this review by saying I've been a long time user of Freedcamp. However, SmartTask really caught my eye with having both CRM and Project Management combined together in one platform. I know Freedcamp does have a CRM component, but I haven't been able to get the two to work together very well.

With that said, I've been using SmartTask for about 2 days and am very happy so far.
The ability to quickly look up client contact information while working on a task is a lifesaver.

Now, there are a few items that I'm really going to miss with Freedcamp. It does have a lot more account and security controls. I also like how Freedcamp handles subtasks, allows for editing prior comments, more thorough search capabilities, and has bulk editing of tasks.

With that said, there are some items that I'm already really liking about SmartTask.
Intuitively, it is very easy to use and quick to pick up.
Team Chat!!
The layout is nicer with projects and groups shown as a list on the left side of screen.
The ability to have multiple organizations with one login. (albeit purchasing additional codes)
Using portfolios to get a quick overview of related projects
and potentially some other features that I haven't really had a chance to test yet (video conferencing, analytics, recurring tasks, reminders, and more that I haven't seen yet)

With some more time in the software, I can easily see myself making a full conversion to SmartTask. This was an easy investment and I'm really excited to see where it goes.
