Q: Hi again, while the Snackeet Web-Stories do not work on Instagram and also not on Google Web-Stories is is not a tool for Social Media.
However, it still looks interesting and so I need to find a new way to use it.
So one of my Ideas would be to use it for Affiliate-Marketing in the Social-Media-Space. Can an affiliate-code be added to your web-stories and is it possible to automatically carry this affiliate-code over on shares and stuff like that? I mean, if for example somebody would share a web-story on Twitter, can this be done with an affiliate-code and will this code be tracked on the story (as long as the script is active)?

Thanks for your message 🙂
Indeed, this is one excellent use case. Some clients already use it that way. It is possible to track information using URL parameters such as snkt.io/id/?source=twitter
I will give you 2 examples.
1/ One recruiting agency use snackeet in Facebook ads, Snapchat ads to collect CV for their clients. They can trigger different scenarios, or prefill fields according to the source and targeting parameters in the link.
2/ One e-commerce company uses Snackeet story’s link INSIDE Social media Stories => it allows them to continue the ”story” experience and to personalize all the content/sequence at the same time.
Cheers,
K.

But can I place the tracking-code of my affiliate-software in Snackeet?
Hey @Julian_Wolf,
Yes, you can. 🙂 You can insert any code/script in a Snackeet story by using Google Tag Manager.
Thanks,
K.
