Solid automation tool where it counts: time saver

I have, like many here on Appsumo, tried different Social Media systems and like many, found out the hard way (i.e. losing a lot of time) that if the company doesn’t have Instagram API access, the ‘investment risk’ is a lot higher. SocialChamp have API access, you just need to switch Instagram to a business account (if it is not one already).

Tested it last night with a brand new account and 10 followers, switched to a Business Account and had to create a Facebook business page and posted my first automated post to Instagram an hour ago.

Granted a) Instagram is not the only social media tool, far from it, b) there are workarounds posting from the app and c) there can be some amazing new functions with some of the other tools. But I find it aligns with SocialChamp’s underlying goal: time saving automation
There are others that have all this, yes, but they are expensive.

If you remember one thing it should be this SocialChamp’s key objective is to automate as much as possible. To save you time and let you focus on other things as a result (well, that’s my take).

You can read about how they were inspired by Guy Kawasaki and even got him interested in their product.

It’s why SyncSpider and Pabbly are what I’m looking for as integrations in tools. Do they have a good API service? Proper endpoints and documentation? Automation over creative tools.

The beta ‘Engage’ tool is a sign of this. I’m hoping we get an offer as Appsumo deal purchasers when it goes live. Note this is a separate tool and not integrated with what you get to use. Makes sense, as it is in beta.

I see issues, but to be fair, they are mainly about the convoluted ways of Facebook and Instagram set things up. It took me over 2 hours to set up an Instagram+Facebook business account and I am pretty tech savvy (that may be one of the issues ;))

The UI of the system could do with some love, it’s simple, and it looks a bit outdated, but then again if it works and does all it is supposed to, is that a major issue?

The UX would benefit from a few minor tweaks, notably the Add SM account might be better place up top for ex.

I would like to see the addition of supporting functions and mechanisms using at least templates (to allow me to re-use previously created data/categories etc.) Machine-learning around hashtags and maybe even copy (help me predict what should work) and I feel these would be inline with SocialChamps goals of automating and supporting tasks as much as possible.

I fully stacked on this and expect to keep it as my tests so far show a solid solution, a solid business strategy, backing of 2 well know business evangelists and good support. There are no incentives to increase the review count, just the appeal of the tool itself, and for me that also is telling. It’s not fancy (yet) as they have focused on the tool, if they continue to evolve and give it some UX/UI love, I believe it will be among the top players in their category.
