Disappointing and not honoring Tier Deals for AppSumo Members
I would have given them at least 3 tacos, but I noticed they aren't honoring Tier 4 deals for some AppSumo members, which broke my trust in them.
The Pros:
They let you connect directly to Instagram, which also allows for easy login to Threads. Vista Social can't do this because it has to be linked to Facebook, but AdaptlyPost can do this as well.
They have social listening and an inbox, which are great features.
The Cons:
The RSS feature is unreliable and only pulls one post, even when I publish 30. You also can't add approval steps to posts, which would prevent them from publishing automatically and allow you to edit them first.
It can't pull images and titles from links, which is bad for automation. AdaptlyPost and Vista Social do this, and the images don't even have to be featured images.
They have been around for eight years, but AdaptlyPost is brand new and will surpass them soon at blazing-fast speed. The main concern is trust, so I am choosing AdaptlyPost instead currently on AppSumo

Oct 12, 2026Thank you for sharing this. Your concern about the Tier 4 situation is understandable. The customer account discussed on Reddit has now been updated to the new Tier 4 allowance of 150 connected accounts. We handled that case too slowly after agreeing to make the change, and we have apologized to the customer.
Your RSS feedback also identifies real limitations that we should explain more clearly. When an RSS automation is first activated, SocialBu intentionally avoids importing an entire feed history. For feeds without reliable publication dates, it processes only the newest item on the first run. It currently processes up to 20 items per poll, so publishing 30 items together may not create 30 posts. We understand that this behavior can look unreliable and may not suit high-volume workflows but we can adjust the fetching limit as per request.
SocialBu does support Team approval workflows, but there is currently no separate “send every RSS automation post for approval” setting inside the automation action. Depending on the Team permissions and who created the automation, a post may require approval, but we agree that an explicit automation-level approval option would provide better control.
For RSS media, SocialBu attempts to find an image from the feed enclosure, the linked page’s Open Graph or Twitter metadata, the article content, or the feed thumbnail. It uses the title supplied by the RSS item. If the feed omits a title, SocialBu does not currently derive a replacement title reliably from the destination page. Results can therefore vary by feed, and your experience shows where this needs improvement.
We appreciate that you acknowledged the direct Instagram and Threads connection, Listen, and Inbox features. We also respect your decision to compare products based on the workflow you need. Your criticism is fair, particularly where our product behavior or communication did not meet the expectation we created.
