Early days, but promising
I need a product like this, and particularly one with evergreen scheduling, so a big tick in the box there. Support is a little bit slow, but is always very helpful, so another big tick.
The interface is nice and friendly and being able to post to multiple platforms all at once is fantastic.
I originally gave 3 tacos but on balance I've changed it to four as the product has a strong feature set and is stable.
There are a few things which I think could be looked at:
- slow loading times when changing pages. Not terrible, but a few seconds or so each time.
- the stock image previews are quite small, so it's hard to make out what they are, meaning that I often go to the stock sites themselves instead
- the calendar view scrolls the whole screen and not just the calendar window, which would be good so you could see the categories and filters at all times - means scrolling up and down a lot
- the reports don't seem to reflect reality. So if I get x likes on LinkedIn, the report doesn't always tally with that. Which means I go and look on LinkedIn.
- there is no way to export posts. So if Socialmonials ceased or paused operation for whatever reason, you'd lose all your content. Which means that there is a need to copy and paste every post into a Trello board or a spreadsheet or somewhere similar, for safekeeping. This is a biggie for me as I was scheduling natively, previously, and doing exactly that manually. I'd like to be able to get my content out as a safeguard so I maintain control of it. If I lost it, that's my business down the drain.
I haven't been able to upload my historic posts as the only way to upload the images is to use a URL, which I don't have, they are all in a Trello board, and so my backlog of posts remain offline and therefore I don't have enough content yet to test the evergreen functionality.
However if you want the campaign functionality, this product might be perfect for you - I won't be using that for now so can't comment. But with the AppSumo guarantee it might well be worth trying it out. I think there is a lot here, I think there is a huge amount of potential, but the lack of an export is my main concern at the moment.
It's a great deal value-wise if the above are not issues for you. If the above were fixed (or if I am gently told that I am using it wrong and these things are possible) it could be 5 tacos.
