One million tacos
I bought both Sociamonials and Promorepublic to compare against each other, and I'll only be keeping Sociamonials.
Here's why I love it:
- unlimited categories for evergreen posts (I'm not over it. This blows my mind)
- ridiculous time savings due to the way everything is automated
- built-in sweepstakes and contests
- thorough analytics that honestly go beyond my needs
- super easy scheduling
- ridiculously amazing customer service staff. They resolve issues so quickly, and they don't hesitate to implement suggestions if they benefit the platform. Half a million tacos just for that.
Here's what I'd still love to see:
- one cool thing PR had was an AI automated posting schedule thingy. It basically posted at the best times for different platforms/days. I think that'd push engagement but I reckon it isn't easy to build in. It would not at all surprise me if this is something the developers are working on, though. They're brilliant.
- a more modern interface with quicker loading speeds. This tool is really cool but looks dated. It's a bit vain, but a more modern look would be amazing. It's in the smaller things, like having a little preview of the image that's going to be posted etc.
- More options to bulk edit posts and other things (e.g. reclassifying a ton of posts to another category etc.) as well as drag and drop changing of the order of posts in the queue
- the option to resize images within the platform. I'm always getting notifications about images being too big for twitter, so I end up skipping twitter posts.
- TikTok, Stories and Pinterest. But I honestly don't know of many platforms that offer that. I know the platform I used to be with, Later.com, did offer that though. I may still need to use their free version to schedule posts on those platforms + stories.
All in all, I highly recommend this. It's so powerful it's a little crazy tbh.

May 9, 2024Hey Catharina,
Thank you so much for the kind words! I just wanted to let you know about some features that might help with your remaining 'wish list' items:
- Regarding automated posting schedule, the way we do this is through something called 'Tactical Overlays' in the Schedule where you setup your weekly Queue schedule. It highlights the optimal times/days in different shades of blue (darker is more optimal) based on the goal. If you want more revenue, you can select that and we'll tell you when to post to generate more revenue (as long as you're using our revenue tracking pixel). Then simply drag your schedule items to those dark blue times/days.
- We hear you. We hired a separate senior developer whose only job is to clean up and optimize for faster loading, etc.
- Working on bulk editing posts in Queue and reordering
- Love the resizing images idea, we've been looking into this.
- We'll keep applying and trying to get into those platforms.
By the way, within a week we're adding the option to repost every x days/weeks/months instead of using the Queue schedule if you prefer doing it that way for some of your posts. You can choose this on a post-by-post basis, so you can keep your existing Queue the way it is and add things like annual holiday posts to go out every year as you need it.
