Truely thorough and comprehensive....
I took Socrates for a test drive and I must say it has produced delightful results. The Deep Dive is really a core strength of this tool. I have not yet tried Table AI but going by what I have seen in deep dive, I can see why table AI will perform great. It seems that Socrates really "learns" the content better than many other tools I have tried including my custom GPTs or Afforai which I do have and like , but no one summarises the content like Socrates does. Also, the responses it provides in chat from Deep Dive are also very comprehensive. The best part, it is VERY FAST. With unlimited GPT4o chat, deep dive and Table AI features, this deal is a no brainer for anyone who works with complex or large documents, loves to summarise for learning, need to compare documents or even generate content that is not from a specific section of the source but has the comprehension of the whole context. Socrates will be a truely valuable tool in my arsenal. I am excited to see what the team will develop further.
Some suggestions for improvement: UI is very basic atm (almost feels like MindGrasp although they have recently improved their UI recently), it does the job but to bring a premium feel to the product (which it functionally is), the UI should be improved. Secondly, there is no option to add another document once deep dive is run, and it could be really useful to continue the same chat by adding more documents. Having spoken to Jon in the Q&A section, he has already said that they are prioritising this feature. All in all, a highly recommended tool! Well done Jon and the team!
