Q: Sorting the invoices

Hello,

I've tried to use SparkReceipt, but I'm not sure it will match my needs :
I've uploaded all my 2024 invoices:

How can I direct the AI to match the type of invoice with the lines on the invoices (if I invoiced for consulting, I expected this information to be kept). If I change the revenues categories, would it be sufficient or do I need to re-trigger IA analysis, if yes how ?

A: Hi,

Hopefully I understand correctly, but you can change the revenue category without needing to re-trigger the AI (there actually isn't a function to do that - as it is at that point faster to just edit it yourself).

Also, sometimes the AI just does not have enough information to go on if the categories are very generic (like often in fresh new accounts). If you invoice for consulting, I have found that adding a descriptive category label, e.g. "Revenue - Consulting" will help the AI to link the text in your invoice to the correct category.

There is also an automation feature almost done in the dev pipeline that will allow you to lock categories into e.g. specific merchants or customers with some conditions.

Hopefully I caught what you were after, but let's chat more if I didn't :)

Best,
Antti

Hi Antti,
The last part of your answer is the one that better catch my need.
Noted for the hint (Revenue - Consulting).
My point about "re-triggering AI analysis" is the following: by changing the category, I should have provided some hints about what I expect, and I would like to have the AI rescan the unaltered documents to revise it's categorization, based on what it has learned... if any
