A key is not required for Tier 1, 2, 3 or 4. You can always use your credits to generate books without ever adding any keys. Tiers 3 and 4 give you the option of adding keys (not the obligation) that then allow you to activate byok on a book project (also an option). BYOK means that the project will use your api keys and it will cost you only 20% (tier 3) or 10% (tier 4) of the normal price.\u000a\u000aIf you are thinking about BYOk, please make sure you are comfortable with managing rate limits on Gemini and OpenAI. If you are not, and you want to produce more content, it might make more sense to get two Youbook Tier 2 accounts.
