If a vendor ceases to do business within 12 months of purchase you receive a credit dependent on your membership level. If you are a PLUS member you receive the full 100% in refund credits for everyone else it's a 50% credit. It should already be in your COUPONS & CREDITS section in your account. They are also reviewing that vertical for future deals - apparently. So a devent outcome overall.
Are they doing this automatically or does everyone have to contact them?
No I checked my account and I have absolutely no refund or credits. So they're not issuing these automatically... Which is super ridiculous! There should be an automatic fullrefund for everyone. If they're responsibility because Appsumo let these scammers on their platform.

I emailed them the same day, and they replied within 24 hours. The credit can be seen in my account's Coupons & Credit section. I didn't have to show any receipts. I would assume they would automatically provide it to everyone. 🤷
I had contacted appsumo for utrrr (shutdown in 8th month of my purchase) and speechki.. Got refund for speechki as I had plus membership.. But no refund for utrrr as that not select product and I had no idea on refund policy difference at purchase time. Understood this terms more better now.. Have become more learned and vigilant after these 2 incidents on only buying absolute must usage product and not add for some maybe future usage..

I’m in the same boat. I reached out on Friday and just got an auto email. And while I am not a Plus member, it is unfair that I will only get 50% back instead of the full tier I paid for. So appsumo charges $100 a year for plus but in a situation like this why should Non-plus members be penalized? This blows man.

The AppSumo support email address is literally in every single redeem section for every deal. Click to redeem any deal, then scoll all the way to the bottom and it's always there along with the contact email address for the company you purchased the item from. This contact information is always here so that customers can contact.

I am not an appsumo plus member, I bought the highest level of speekio, but I have not received any refund in my credit account, not even 50%, although I do not agree with losing 50% of my investment in 4 months, I feel scammed and appsumo should not allow this type of scam, only returning a part of my money in credits that do not compensate for the damaged damages or the stopped projects of my clients. They did the same to me. I lost $231 AUD on this "lifetime deal". Until now, I purchased 40 software products via Appsumo but this does not mean much to them as I am not a member. I am only a 50% valued customer.

There is still no communication from APPSUMO regarding the theft carried out by SPEECHKI forgers, complete nonsense. Unfortunately, the story is being perpetuated that online sales are for forgers and deceivers. Ultimately, I will make a formal complaint to the competent authorities and the FBI if necessary, even to the American Congress, it is unacceptable that in this day and age, space is given for forgers to find good people, like us here to deceive.
