I nearly skipped Spoke due to the lack of reviews. Decided to try it over the weekend and I am so glad I did.

Spoke is an entirely new product the likes of which has never ever appeared on (at least) Appsumo before.

I can think of many use case but my primary use case is in education. There is lots of potential for Spoke in education and I feel the same can be extrapolated to other avenues that have online meetings & video content too.

There are two ways I can definitely see Spoke add value:

1) At myself school, online lessons go on for 45 minutes per session and students often get bored. In some instances students camera is switched off so we don't know what is going on at the other end. My use is to revisit the lesson at the end and create a summary of the main points in a easily digestible short 2-5 minute video.

2) I am also planning to use for Project management across disciplines where I will use the same as above but for departmental and staff meetings (teachers too are bored sometimes and don't pay attention)

The reason why i feel it will be a smashing hit with educators, if you focus on that segment is, most educators struggle with complex technology. I have thought of doing the above two points before and even tried my hand at video editing but the final output was very unpleasant. Hence I feel Spoke has a tremendous advantage as it eliminates the need for any form of editing except selecting the subtitled text.

I also feel the deal terms could be better explained. To those that are unsure, here is what I got with 2 codes:

- 9 hours of transcription with 90% accuracy
- 1 hour of professional transcription with 99% accuracy (this alone is worth two codes in my opinion)
- unlimited videos

The final video can be downloaded or shared via links, email, social media etc. There is also Analytics in terms of viewer counts.

I am still experimenting with Spoke and a third use case I can think of is trimming down online videos so that students can just watch the parts that are crucial. for example, in my online lessons I have TED talks and usually I put in a note below the video to watch from 2:30 - 3:10 and 8:45-12:56 minutes. This looks very unappealing but with Spoke I am going to explore how these videos can be trimmed and stitched.

Last but not the least, it also helps with accessibility which is an important factor in its own right. The possibilities are endless. The creator is supportive and friendly and listens to use cases and provides advice.

I am told that Appsumo has done away with webinars!!?? That is disappointing. I used to find tremendous value in those webinars to get me onboarded. Though I couldn't attend live I did watch it at my convenience. So, please reconsider this.

All in all, my 5+ super tacos with a twist and extra sauce :)
