I tried Spott and was excited about the possibilities, but I ran into a couple of dealbreakers and I will likely return it. I'm just going to focus my review on these issues. There are many positive things about Spott to love, including timely and effective support.

The majority of the traffic to my site is mobile, and I found the resolution of images to be sharply degraded in mobile view, which I assume is due to scaling; however, the text became unreadable and I found the pixelization unattractive. I also wanted the ability to open hyperlinks and replace the current page (_self), not open a blank page (_blank) or a popup. As another reviewer mentioned, it would be great if we could host the media for SEO value, but I've seen this with other products as well, like Elfsight.

These may be non-issues for your projects, but something to consider.
